Let's face it. Poor Harper is facing an election soon, and this time he has messed up badly on the same sex resolution.

He made a half hearted attempt at a bad time. He allowed the vote to fail.

He wasn't even changing the legislation, only 'resolving' to re-look at the re-thinking on the topic!

In an ironically queer fashion, this is what he did to his clergymen backers

[BF]

So what does Harper do next time around? No priests, no bible thumpers no jobless white trash walking around with posters 'Not Adam and Steve'.

Moreover I can sense from the more intelligent conservatives on this board that they are fed up with standing shoulder to shoulder with bigoted bums.

Do you think there will be a massive pro Liberal backlash in the Conservative camp this time?

I told you: You Liberals should have elected Hedy Fry.

Not really my friend. Think about it.

Harper has no platform, the conservatives have nothing to offer the people.

Environment? Slash and burn! Destroy the world for profits for our rich friends.

Health care? Cut it down! Why should we rich pay for you poor sick people?

Child care? Rubbish. Let women stay at home. Conservative women don't work!

Same Sex Marriage? Er, sorry we messed that up.

Lower Taxes? Not possible friends. We cut down on GST. Sorry we had to screw up your income trusts to get it back! Hope you don't mind the destruction of your pensions!

Lower Expenses? Oh yeah, we did that, we cut back on programs for women. Hope you don't mind that we spent it on military exercises. Wars are more important that women, dont' you agree?

Yeah, she would have been a pushover, wouldn't she?

Don't blame you for trembling when you see our new leadership!

Without the Fundies, I can easily support Harper. Get going on those Ice Breakers, distance yourself from the whole SPP thing, position Canada so that it doesn't get stuck holding the bag in Afghanistan, continue to keep the crazies in check or encourage them to go to the CHP and a Con majority becomes a possibility.

A united Right is showing its limmitations and weaknesses south of the border. Canada and Canadian Conservatives, with a weaker theocratic history, should take note and move conservatism back to where it belongs. Responsible economics and Provincial and individual rights. There are no losing positions if they do so.

Come on man that is total and complete BS. You've been on the Liberal sauce too long.

BS eh?

Empty words, my friend, unless you can imagine a platform which will match ours.

Conservatives have nothing to offer Canadians.

First of all I agree that mixing God with politics makes a bad sauce. Render unto Caesar, etc., etc...

But honestly, Liberals have shown the way where responsible economics is the question. A sterling record of surpluses and fiscal discipline. Yet we have pushed welfare and compassion forward. Harper has only cut back on women's rights to pay for his armed escapades!

And seriously, can Harper, who cut back on women's rights, talk about individual rights?

From which we should understand that you have no idea at all, how the conservatives should fight the coming Liberal onslaught!

No. Stealing is what you did to church funds to fill Conservative election treasure chests!

This time they won't give it to you.

Not just that, but for all the Menorah Harper lights, jews are flooding back to Liberals. Anyone worried about human rights trusts only us, you see!
