Bernard Landry quitte la vie politique

Is it good or bad for the party and the sovereignist movement?

There are rumors that Duceppe would want to become leader of the party. Good deal ?

Duceppe ? That guy who said that we should adopt the US dollar and that it would be a good thing ? Whatever ;)

Optinum @ Sun Jun 05, 2005 10:37 am

pauline marois :x legault same thing

the 2 other andre boisclair or gille duceppe are my 2 favorite but my vote going for andre boisclair if he come back!

DrCaleb @ Sun Jun 05, 2005 11:30 am

Wow. He only got 76% support, and figured that wasn't good enough. Why did I think he should have been happy with 50% + 1 vote? drum

I don't know... if it's Duceppe, I wonder who would be the new Bloc quebecois leader.

Honestly I'm just glad Landry is gone. Unfortunetaly what we will hear for the next couple of days is how he was a great man and how important he was for the PQ and bla bla bla...

I'm pretty sure the new PQ leader will be young because they want the youth to believe in the separatist movement.

I agree about the next days will be aweful.
A friend of mine told me: "You should at least recognize he was a great man."
I responded: "How could a traitor to my country can be considered a great man ?"

I love to exaggerate things, as they do in the opposite way.

 "How could a traitor to my country can be considered a great man ?" should be one of the 10 things to say to piss off a separatist.

I'll remember that one, thanks :)

Totally right on that !! Man, the news media just keeps going on and on...

Actually, We (as federalists) do not want Duceppe to go in as leader of the PQ. And really do not want to see Pauline Marois (Do not trust that cow at all   ) Taken that if Landry would have stayed, the PQ would have less of a chance to win the next provincial elections, which would have benefited the other political parties.

mata koto as the chef of BQ, watch your mouth before to say that the bloc quebec is racist

.

Yeah, well, the chances of Matta Kotto becoming leader of the bloc are rather slim. eh? :P

Landry's resignation is probably bad news for federalism; Landry etait percu comme etant assez nul, meme parmi plusieurs souverainistes. If the PQ comes up with the right person to succeed Landry (a big "if"), it could provide an additional boost to their cause.

Tman1 @ Sun Jun 05, 2005 5:44 pm

Hmmm I believe imo its no concern for the ROC in the long run, but in time someone with charismatic character, separatist intellectualism and a person who can get things done and right can be a severe thread at a later date in time. Bernard Landry was a weak, ineffective little tool with no backing from anybody and relies on cowardly words to convey his messages. Lucky for us thats all separatists have going for them now, but later...who knows.

Pimpbrewski @ Sun Jun 05, 2005 5:46 pm

Tman Dude, are you drunk ??

Well, I knew all along that you liked Duceppe  . You never wanted to admit it.

And yea Freaker, Landry was the best shot for the PQ not to get elected.

And about Pauline Marois, she is a real hypocrite. Just by looking at her, I would never deal with someone like that.

It seems that a lot of people strongly dislike Pauline Marois, including many separatists. She would make an excellent leader for the PQ. [flag]
