Sounds pretty damned Republican to me.

Everything sounds Republican to you. It's part of your Conservative upbringing.

Yeah, if he loved it so much, why did it take so long for him to come back?
He's just pandering and it's so obvious it makes me sick. He earned his income from foreign sources, paid no taxes to Canada since his income was from foreign sources and he wasn't a resident of Canada. Yeah he loves Canada and my ass pumps buttermilk.

The same is true of Wayne Gretzky. Does he love Canada or is his ass pumping buttermilk too? Dumbass.

Gretzky isn't running for PM either.

.. but Iggy wouldn't know that because he missed Wayne's whole career.

Neither is Iggy, yet.

I lived in Cambridge, MA for a portion of Gretzky's career and don't feel I "missed" any of it. Actually, I went to as many Bruins' games during those 3 years of my life as Leafs' games over the other 37 years of my life.

This isn't about Gretzky now is it. It's about Iggy. Typical liberal tactics tho, deflect the issue off on someone else. Sorry but I haven't heard Gretzky ask for my vote to be PM yet. Now who's the dumbass? [B-o]

It's still you...I'm not a Liberal, newb.

Well I guess I am the dumbass...NOW

It would seem unlikely that too many Republicans would have an interest in, or concern about what Ignatieff thinks. It would hard to imagine that any more than 4 would know anything about Canada and any more than 2 cared and of that remaining crowd would have read any of his publications. Ignatieff is not on the NASCAR circuit, not on the entertainment scene and as "Leader of the Opposition" is not a common phrase in the white Christian Evangelical movement so how could any of them know who he was. Clearly this smells like Reform, looks like Alliance and walks like a conservative who lost his progressive. George Bush would have patted "Stevie" on the head for this one.

Of course Americans know and love Iggy.

Nowhere near as much as Harper it seems.

lol. That is so photoshopped it's hilarious. Just check the suit and the hand. But hey, a manufactured lie is always better than the truth if the truth doesn't say what you want it to.

I thought Liberals hated everything American. I guess we'll find out in the next election.

What a conundrum the Liberal faithful find themselves.

ridenrain @ Fri Aug 28, 2009 10:25 am

God no. Iggy's desperate that people now confuse him with Obama.

Zipperfish @ Fri Aug 28, 2009 10:42 am

Ignatieff versus Harper should be quite interesting. A couple of policy wonks going at it. Frankly, I think we're in pretty good stead in Canada to have two men of that kind of intellectual calibre to choose from.

One hopes it will be a battle of issues and ideas, as opposed to fear and smear.

saturn_656 @ Sat Sep 12, 2009 5:59 pm

I suppose it doesn't matter if Harper wins or Ignatieff wins... we will still have a "conservative" leading the country.

OldChum @ Sat Sep 12, 2009 6:30 pm

I will probably vote NDP just to say I voted and have the right to bitch , but neither leader excites me or gives me reason to say they are the one .

EdwardRI @ Sat Sep 12, 2009 9:49 pm

Actually this makes Iggy a more attractive candidate to me.
