Do some travelling......go at first without wearing any Canadian apparel and wear western clothes and speak in English all the time. Then put on some Canadian apparel, and you will see the difference........
As I've already stated, I have done some traveling. I've never had any trouble for being an American.
I'm not sure why Canadians are so obsessed with this myth that when they travel they have the red carpet rolled out for them while an American would be beaten to a pulp and spit on? Generally speaking, if you are overseas and act respectful you are treated with respect. If you are a dick head you will be treated like a dick head.
I don't think it's an obsession rather an observation. Personally I have nothing against our friends to the south.

I do it on american message boards. How is that any different? My grandfather flys a canadian flag when he goes down to america. What is wrong with that?

In Quebec we have american culture too, like Latino culture, Creol culture, England culture, Russian culture etc etc. but our French Culture still veeeery strong !

Same religious belive ( not now, but i think both are prostestant )

Uboat is right, none of our atheletes are volunteering to cary the flag because they want to "conserve their strength" ... fucking shamefull, they should be embarassed of themselves. If i was incharge of those atheletes I'd be kicking some ass none of them are fit to represent my country as far as Im concerned then, they should all stay home pussies.
