So, Wendy Cukier is funded by the Canadian Police Chiefs Association---now that’s a real left wing propaganda group. But wait, they are funded by the Justice Department (I am assuming that’s the Justice Department of Canada's New Government and not the Justice Department of some EVIL FOREIGN POWER) which is then funded by MY TAX DOLLARS--cool! And their (Cukier's) group uses MY TAX DOLLARS to fund bogus scientific "studies" to prove that what---more Americans kill each other than Canadians do? Wow- I am impressed.
While that funding arrangment was the circumstance during the cretin/Martin regime I am uncertain that is any longer the case----I would hope not---I must e-mail my MP to verify this.
From what I can establish The Canadian Police Cheifs Assn mentality is best described as facist and opportunist. The rank and file Police ASSN s appear more impartial and non-partisan.
Police chiefs are just another politician job.
When I took the firearms training course, there were 2 instructors: 1 young police officer, and 2) a retired police officer.
Although 2 officers does not constitute a general consensus, they and everyone in the class was clearly against the Canadian Police Chiefs stance on banning handguns.

Well, I am glad you understand that.

Well, I am glad you understand that.
I am glad you understand that, too. Because that one classroom was more people than police chiefs that have come forward in support of banning handguns.
Although they do not publicly state it as such the Police Chiefs are dependant upon funding from the government to operate their departments, and echo what they perceive the government policy to be. The former LIBRANO regime displayed recoiled from armed sky marshals as also recoiled from seeing firearms, symbols of individual sovereignty, in the hands of private citizens. It interferes with their ideal of power that in their view, ought to belong exclusively with the state.
