Tory MPs Turn against Harper
Tis Rebellion!
Nobody's got anything to say about this?

I wasn't too sure about these appointments either. I would like to hear how Harper justified them. If he simply picked whoever was best for the job then I have no problem with it.

The problem comes in when the people he thinks are right for the job are not the people who Canadians elected to do the job.....
Canadians elected Conservatives, but now they have a Liberal Cabinet Minister.
Vancouverites elected a Liberal to represent their Liberal views....now they don't have one.......
The question is, should Canadians decide through an election who governs them, or should Stephen Harper decide through Appointments who governs us?
The point of this thread however, is that it seems like the Conservative Party is starting to come unglued.......Because Stephen Harper campaigned against appointments and for democratic reform.......
He's shown himself to be the kind of person who says one thing and does another....

Politics breeds corruption. Its a sad but truthful fact.
Do you guys think the Conservative Party will split back to its old factions?

I wouldn't get too sanctimonious about it Vitamin.
All Harper's done is show that he's capable of doing politics as cynically as the Liberals. We took Emerson, while the Libs did it with Belindawhore, Brison, and K Martin. The Libs are hardly the one's to pontificate on the subject.
That said, I was expecting more from him and I'm fucking pissed off Harper did this. He had plenty of good talent in the CPC ranks from which to choose. If Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal didn't elect Conservatives, then so be it. They don't get a seat at the cabinet table then.
Harper has just managed, in one day, to piss off his entire caucus while totally disappointing thousands of Conservative voters who were expecting the CPC to do things differently, and on a higher level than we saw from the Libs.
This shows the worst possible judgement imaginable, especially when you consider his base. After all, as you've seen from the reaction of Conservatives all over the country, we actually have principles and expectations when it comes to our leaders. And we're capable of criticizing and voting against our party when they fuck it up.
I never saw that from Liberal supporters when their party stepped over the line. All I ever heard from you Kool-Aid drinkers were vigorous defences no matter what the Libs did.

That may be so, but you told us that the devil would be better then Paul Martini and it turns out that it took only one day to make you question yourself.
I would say that our new beelzebub is no better then the last one. One fucking day. Like man, did aliens abduct him between his election and his swearing in and change his DNA or something.
One fucking day and he's got his little dick out and he's pissing on his MP's, his supporters and the rest of us.
ONE FUCKING DAY.
Lets organize a protest or something.
Saturday dress in a clown suit and march in front of your PC MP's riding office at noon CST. Who's in?

I'm not even going to argue with you Donny. Harper deserves every bit of criticism he gets over this and then some.
It doesn't change my vote. I think if nothing else the new order has changed the furniture around and will shake off alot of the dead weight. There's already rumbles than many of the more opportunistic Libs in that caucus aren't planning to run again because they don't want to go through another election when there's a possibility they'll just end up in opposition again. You can't argue that's not a good thing.
But Harper has astounded me with this collossul example of poor political judgment and blatant political cynicism. He's going to have a lot of work to do to make me forget this.
You're right. One fucking day!
