Anyone can just come out and say how upset the caucus is if they don't name names. Nobody can verify anything.

Exactly, no one can verify anything....so you can't verify that it's Bull. Now sit down and shut up...

And our papers usually do have a right-of-centre edge to them. I am by no mens however, a far-left leaning socialist hippy, but I am on the left-side of the political spectrum.

So far I have not seen any money funnelled so I'm ok with this so far.
You know....if there was fund's transfered in the Lib days you would not hear one word about it

And why would you hear anything about it from the Conservatives?

I'm not taking the moral high ground here.
I freely admitting to indulging in a childish round of finger-pointing and silent chanting of "I told you so!"

I'm not above that. :D

I can't argue with you on that. You're perfectly entitled.

As for Emerson, it's a brilliant coup for the Conservatives from an internal standpoint. We get a very capable minister to put in charge of major issues like softwood lumber, and it's a huge kick for the Liberals while they're down.

Agreed - he probably is the best guy for the job, for the softwood lumber issue if nothing else (and that's all I really care about. ;) )

However.... you're wrong if you see this as a kick for the Liberals. We're actually sitting here smugly watching you Cons try to spin this... largely unsuccessfully. :D

And were watching you libs once again....grasping at straws.

Funny how these libs have nothing to say when pm PM did it but now it's a national scandal when Harper trys to do what he thought was right by giving the rest of Canada equal representation.

Carry on though Libs!
Bet your just waiting for a billion dollar cash in the brown envelope scenario to qualm your needs.

Fuc* you libs are funny.

I'd love to hear your explanation as to how we're grasping at straws, when it's you guys on the defensive.

Should Belinda have crossed the floor for a cabinet position? No?

Then why aren't you complaining that Emerson was rewarded for doing the same thing?

I'd also like to hear your thoughts on the timing. Did he cross before or after Harper figured he'd make a good cabinet minister? Think about that... as my next question will touch on your opinion of the Grewal scandal.

Remember the Grewal scandal? I'm pretty surre it was on that list of 200+ scandals you posted all over the place.

If Harper wanted equal representation in his cabinet, he didn't have to look at MPs from the cities themselves. Plenty of the 'burbs elected Cons... mine included.

Finally, you openly admit your a Liberal, not just a liberal. :D

lily, many Con supporters here have said, time and time again, that Harpers decision was bad yet you don't see it.

Why is that you choose to ignore it?

Come on, that's not much of an argument is it. They should be having to prove their sources, not me having to prove that it's bull. I am merely saying that the article's suggestions are very questionable, given that it is a left wing, Govt. supporting paper and they have no solid sources.

Get your coat

Oh well, as long as they don't launder any money, I guess everything's okay. They could slaughter children in the street, set neighbourhoods on fire, rape your mother, but as long as the money's still good you're okay with it. Good thing we got that settled.

uhhhh, they could they could they could, but they didnt.
Any other wild wide eyed liberal scenario's you would like to share with us?

Donny_Brasco @ Thu Feb 09, 2006 8:03 am

Just a note,

considering the minority government and the numbers, a Liberal or BQ MP quitting his party to sit as an independent could hold the balance of power.

Check the numbers, it could work.

CON 125
LIB 102
BQ 51
NDP 29
IND 1
