And I have 3 residences in Alberta, smallest is a motorhome, you should try living away sometime, might give you a better perspective on life.

Why would I do that when I like right where I am? Family tends to ground you but that dosen't mean I haven't been around. As you will note on my profile I am an F1 fan and, well, that can take you places and it has.

So what's your third residence an outhouse?
If it was I'd probably have to boot you out every night.

That's the best thing you could think of?
No,my outhouse is 2500 sq feet, pool table, two fireplaces, full bar, garage and a woodshed that's probably bigger then your house.

Yea, but how big is your TV? :P

Which one?

Geez, this a first...online 'capitalist wanking', brought to you by Z. I'm so very happy for your homes, your televisions and your obvious deep affection for them. Inanimate objects, all, and therefore of scant interest to the rest of the known world. I'm sure you'll be equally fascinated to know that I have a large collection of lego and leave highly rude constructions in the food courts of local malls as part of my radical therapy through guerilla theatre improvisation...should I assume you care? My lego is bigger than your lego.

Wasn't there a discussion earlier about Harper's now highly flexible principles? At least MCB has the courage of a traditional conservative to admit that these early moves on Harper's part are of concern.

From what I'm hearing, Emerson's constituents are boiling mad. And just because he's a former lumber industry exec somehow makes him the right guy to handle the international trade portfolio? That will have to be proven, if he makes it that far; methinks his constituents are just beginning to get things moving. An outrageous move on Emerson's part and a highly cynical move on Harper's part. Parsing the position is just so much senseless blather.

Now, time for my next creation using a special glow-in-the-dark lego kit with which I will create a saucy statuette of Margaret Thatcher riding bareback on a Gnu a la Lady Godiva...go ahead and guess which bits glow tantalizingly when the lights are out. I know you care about that as much as I care about your homes, televisions, trout fishing etc.

NorthCelt @ Thu Feb 09, 2006 3:05 pm

NEWSFLASH Ontario Tory MP Garth Turner now suggests that Emerson step down, also puzzled by Harper's decision to accept him. The plot thickens...

The shock value wore off dude, the topic died. Me and my good buddy Avro tried to revive it to no avail.

Turner should have stayed on TV giving bad financial advice. Even though he's a Conservative, he's still a walking turd.

Yep he's a real weirdo, if he organised a piss up at a brewery, the beer would be flat.

Personally I think this whole Emerson thing is hilarious. I mean picture all the Libs turning their TVs on, already dreading seeing the new Tory Government getting sworn in.

And there, in the middle of the new Govt. is one of their own, as a Tory Cabinet Minister.

That is just fucking priceless

Schadenfreude is really the lowest form of humour. If you disliked the Liberals for this type of thing, you shouldn't defend the Conservatives. The real losers here are the voters of Vancouver Kingsway, who were duped and Canadians in general whose cynicism will now reach epidemic proporition. The party that was supposed to change Ottawa waited mere minutes before dashing the hopes of Canadians who were sick of business as usual in Ottawa.

God, it's all so melodramatic in the media right now though isn't it. The reality that's being missed here, is why would Emerson cross the floor if Harper was so right wing, as in all the fearmongering by the Libs in the past few years. It shows that Harper wants to move to the centre if he's recruiting Ex-Liberal Cabinet Ministers, doesn't it?

That point seems to have been missed by most.

You've got that right, I've seen labels like "Traitor" and "Turncoat" on various news sites. What I'd like to know is where was all this outrage when Belinda crossed the floor, or the many others that have done it in the past. Where were the calls for ethics reviews then? How come the liberals didn't call for Belinda to resign and run in a byelection. The fuckin hypocracy stinks like shit.

Damn right, Ruez. Did you hear the Liberal strategist on Nightline tonight? He was on for at least an hour, and there was no representation for the Tories. What a joke. A lot of callers brought up the hypocracy of the Libs.

This story is getting way too much mileage and the Libs need to suck it up and get on with rebuilding their party.

Maybe they shoud recruit Svend and Libby and they could have Svend do a press conference about this, and do his trademark sobbing, with Libby right there, holding his hand.

Donny_Brasco @ Fri Feb 10, 2006 8:06 am

He's a male fucking whore who will do anything for $$ and power.

The joke is on him though. Considering Steve's record over the last week this is going to be a short lived government and I bet Emerson won't even run again because he stabbed all of his supporters in the back.

Keep up the piss-poor work Harper, i have my frequent voter card out and ready!!

Just a note,

considering the minority government and the numbers, a Liberal or BQ MP quitting his party to sit as an independent could hold the balance of power.

Check the numbers, it could work.

CON 125
LIB 102
BQ 51
NDP 29
IND 1

Who gives a shit but you whining libs that lost, lets move on and build the country instead of whining about who's in now.
I hope Steven eats some babies soon so you whiner's will have something to harp about.I predict in 6 months from now the board libs will still be whining about the loss but never actually be doing anything for the betterment of this country.

At least I wrote my MP with my thoughts,it may not be much but much more effective then coming on a forum and crying "See! I told ya! see!".

Try and be pro active Donny instead of anti con.

Actually I'm quite comfortable with the situation. You have liers and whores and traitors in the Con cabinet. A minority government and the NDP with a wack of seats. I was just stating a point.

Go get your prozak refill.
