Yeah, that's me... probably proc, too
If my harvesters weren't busy, I'd be there like a fatman to an all you can eat buffet. [eat]

Proculation @ Sun Apr 01, 2007 12:21 pm

I lost all and did no damage i think:

Contact with the attacking fleet has been lost.
(That means it was shot down in during first round.)

Proculation @ Sun Apr 01, 2007 12:29 pm

If someone have over ressources, send it to me at 92:5

I need to reconstruct.

And can we harvest the DF without being attacked by his fleet ?

Delwin @ Sun Apr 01, 2007 1:20 pm

Hey has anyone read this ? We can join fleets:

GROUP ATTACKING

$1:
When you send a fleet to an attack you have now the option to invite other ppl to attack with you in a group. You just type in his ingame-name and he gets your invitation. Its also allows you to invite yourself to combine fleets from different colonies.

You don´t have to be in the same alliance to be invited.

Invited players get an IGM (ingamemessage) and have in the fleetmenu the option to join a group-attack. They can choose between all the groups they´re invited to.

Max. 5 players can combine their fleets and every player can add as much fleets as he want, but the group can´t consst of more then 16 fleets in total.

In addition: The group-speed may not be lowered more than 30% by new ships. If new fleets are slower, the option for a group-attack is not available!

As example: A fleet would need 2 hours (120 minutes)to a planet. 10 minutes after the takeoff joins a fleet, which needs 130 minutes. That is possible, since the new fleet slows the group down, but only around 20 minutes (16%). Another fleet, which would need 160 minutes, could not join.

You pay only as much deut as you would pay for a normal attack.

The group flyes with the speed of the slowest ship, and if a slower ship joins, the whole group is slowed down.

When a fleet leaves the group, it still flies, even when the groupstarter leaves.

After the battle every surviving fleet flies back to where it comes from.

GROUP DEFENDING
$1:
That means that you deploy your fleet to the orbit of another players planet (you´ve to choose the "hold" order for that).
You can only deploy your fleet to members of your alliance or to ppl from your buddylist.
You can´t deploy the fleet to ppl who are in vacation-mode.

To deploy your fleet to another persons planet you choose the "hold"-order and set the time how long the fleet should stay there. The longer it stays the more deut is needed. The deut is automatically loaded onto your fleet. Remember that you need a high enough cargo-capacity to transport the extradeut ;)

holding-costs

small cargo 5 deut per hour
large cargo 5 deut per hour
light fighter 2 deut per hour
heavy fighter 7 deut per hour
cruiser 30 deut per hour
BS 50 deut per hour
coloship 100 deut per hour
recycler 30 deut per hour
probe 1/10 deut per hour
bomber 100 deut per hour
solar satelit -
destroyer 100 deut per hour
RIP (deathstar) 1/10 deut per hour

NOTE: When you recall the fleet, all deut is gone.

Max. 5 player can hold their fleets on another persons planet and a maximum of 16 Fleets can hold on one planet.

If the planet gets attacked, only the planetowner sees the attacking fleet @ his overview.

NOTE: If you attack a planet where one of your fleets is deployed on, you fight against your own ships.

Yeah you're safe:
$1:
Recycler:
The recycler has a special function as regards spacecraft, only recyclers can mine debris fields. It has about the same freight capacity as the large transporter ( 20.000 ), but has only a fraction of its speed ( its the slowest ship over all.. with the exception of the death star). Recyclers can be sent out without escort as the owner of the planet which is orbited by a debris field won't detect their presence. In general, you will have a great advantage if you have develop recyclers first and if you can get to the debris fields of finished fights before others.
Requires: shipyard - level 6
Combustion engine - level 6
Shield tech - level 2
Cost: 10.000 metal, 6.000 crystal and 2.000 deuterium

Blue_Nose @ Sun Apr 01, 2007 1:32 pm

When I hover over a debris field, it says, "actions: harvest", but it won't allow me to actually click on it. I have 1 recycler, so what's the deal?

Not sure, try doing it manually from the fleet menu, click fleet on the left hand side of the screen, enter 1 for number of harvester and see if it works.

Or, attack with a probe first:

$1:
Harvesting Debris questions

Q:How do I know how much debris there is?
A: Go to the galaxy page and look for the T next to a planet number. Hover your mouse over it to see how much there is. M is metal and K is crystal.

Q:Help! It wont let me send my recyclers!
A:If there have never been any debris at the target, you must first make debris before you can target it with recyclers. Most common way is using a probe to attack the planet. This is generally used by people to target debris before they mobilize thier fleet for a fleetcrash.

Q: Can I send other ships with recyclers to pick up debris? (eg cargoes)
A: Yes you can BUT they will NOT collect debris. Meaning sending them along does nothing. Only recyclers can carry debris

Yes, I tried that right after posting, and it does work - damn, recyclers are slow!! It takes longer for one to travel to a planet in my own system than it does for my cargo ships to travel three.

Bummer, How high is your combustion engine ?Cargos have the benifit of recieving a speed boost from combustion engine until your impulse drive hits level 5, then their engines are swithed to impulse and the speed doubles, further speed boost come from the impulse tech. Whereas the recycler only relies on combustion, so if it is very low, you might want to raise it.

Combustion is at lvl 7, and impulse is at lvl 4 - I'm going to definately have to getting that up to lvl 5, I guess, since my income consists mainly of raiding inactives.

Thanks for the tips.

No prob. If I can help I will, I'm sure I'll need some down the road.

Woohoo!!!

$1:
The attacker has won the battle!
He captured
26.044 metal, 17.089 crystal, and 10.288 deuterium

The attacker lost a total of 0 units.
The defender lost a total of 149.000 units.
At these space coordinates now float 24.000 metal and 20.700 crystal.

uni30 :)

The guy had a colony ship just sitting there along with 5 large cargos and 2 cruisers with NO DEFENSE....

I wish I had 3 recyclers instead of just the one... :(

bootlegga @ Mon Apr 02, 2007 3:43 pm

I hope one of you (BlueNose/Proculation) got to recycle 208:11...I tried but it was gone by the time my ships got there!

Proculation @ Mon Apr 02, 2007 6:18 pm

My recycler is going somewhere else. First time, I got nothing . I hope this time I will be able to get something
