So far, I think you are all wrong. Obviously no techs here.

Wow, are you a douche on every thread?

How is the power supply and fan? If it is beeping there is power but is it stable? When you boot the BIOS check to see if it reads a constant level. Next look at the copper contact points in the slot itself for scarring. If you see any carbon your 1st hunch about static may have been right.

and the
CORRECT ANSWER is...?????????
If it's making 'a series of beeps' it hasn't got to the point of initiating the video display on ANY card you'll plug in.
If it's three beeps repeated, that's universal for bad RAM or badly seated RAM chips.
Unplug all your RAM and just plug in one stick, make sure ALL the cards in your slots are seated firmly and try again

Yeah, quit leaving us in suspense.
ok answer me this and ill tell you what it is.
1. How many beeps? ( not an estimate, count them)
2. Take all ram out and fire it up, if it doesnt beep at all your mobo is toast, if the beep amount changes its not your mobo.
3. If you have realeased a static charge too it, and a good one, throw it out. You wil not see any burn marks from static
4. If your monitor actual says no video or no signal then the card is not putting out any signal with only leaves you with the slot or card (mobo rulled out already by change in beeps or not from 2.If you try it in the other pci e and its the same then its the card.
CommanderSock CommanderSock:
It's not your mobo. When a mobo dies you get no power @ all.
nothing against you but this isnt true, sorry
