No frickin way. The Yanks captured and then transported them, let the Yanks deal with them.

I would hope that Immigration Canada would refuse them due to the fact they are at least suspected of being militants. It wouldn't surprise me to see them enter Canada though.

Let them become permanent residents of the nation they were caught in, if they loved it so much that they went there in the first place...

They were cleared of any charges by the US.There was a good show on TV last night about some of the guys released who wernt terrorists but can never go home now or ever see their families again.

Because their governments will kill them if they go back.Only a handfull of countries agreed to take these detainees, they were never ever charged with anything and cleared of all charges by the US government.
Mostly their not wanted because their Muslims.

I don't mind them coming up to Canada to try and live a somewhat normal life.
If they are proven innocent, then I'm absolutely fine with them moving up here.

Typical knee jerk!
They were never charged with anything and were cleared of any wrongdoing by US authorities at Guatanamo.

And my Ukranian relatives who were detained in Alberta during ww2 should have been sent back then according to your logic. They would have been murdered if sent back home, yet they did nothing wrong.

Why is that? Why will they be killed? They haven't done anything wrong, and they are probably devoted muslims. No reason for their governments to kill anybody.
Next question... How come they will never see their families again?
It is an EXCELLENT excuse to promote family-class immigration this way...
Refugees who become PR, and getting their families here...

It would have been better if you saw the CBC special last night about the guys that were in there. It explained it a lot better then I can.The Mosque and Imam that took them into their fold was also skeptical about them but they arent terrorists. The Imam said on the interview that they are just family people,2 gave their wives permission to remarry allready.

But my Ukranian relatives were "Communist light" when they left their homeland for Canada and sending them back would have been a death sentance. They never did anything wrong, just in the right place at the wrong time.

Interesting argument ziggy - however, that was then and this is now - completely different circumstances and pedantical - it's also interesting that you utilise the CBC to justify their situations.

We don't want them - now, or ever - regardless of the fact a military court found them to be 'not guilty' - doesn't mean they're innocent.

Release them into mainstream Cuba or send them back - we have enough sleepers here that have yet to be identified.

I've typed my weary fingers to the bone alerting posters - particularly Winnipeg Wankers to the imminent threat of these mutts 'knock, knock, knockin' at your door' - time for a wake up call if you value your life and those of your families, unless of couse you happen to be one of them. . . .
