Christian refuses to drive "No God" bus

I, as an Atheist want all the "promoting God" stuff off of our streets. It is a disgrace to Atheism.

Geeeeeesh, the world is changing, accept it. Believe what ever you like in your own time.
"our streets"? Those streets are as much mine as they are yours. We all have to make compromises in order to live together.

I was sarcastic, I thought that was obvious.
Apparently, I was wrong.
If there is a God then the bus would have driven itself. The gas tank would have filled with faith.

Sometime, hopefully not TOO far into the future (but surely long after we're all dead), humanity will realize that more human misery has been caused by religion than anything else. Humans, one day, will no longer believe ANY RELIGION. They won't fight over silly creation myths, whose god is the real GOD and and what the creator says is sin. Humanity has had many great "milestones", like the development of speech and language, tool making, agriculture, discovery of the wheel, printing press, splitting the atom, etc. One day, the "Death of all religion" will be a great milestone. One day, humans will realize how foolish and hate mongering religion is. Future humans will look back on our epoch and think we're as dumb as we think people 1000 years ago were when they thought the earth was flat and the centre of the universe. If I could wish ONE thing for humanity, it would be that there was no such thing as religion.

You said it brother. When I would go to church we would actually sing songs about brainwashing and killing people that didn't believe what we believe. I remember this one time we actually planned a full scale invasion of a Jehova's Witness church. Unfortunately it fell through.

If the job has nothing to do with religion.... then why is the employer accepting "religious" ads?
For revenue, of course. Do you think that makes the employer involved in religion? (and soap, and investment funds, and diapers, and whatever else is in the ad space it sells)
Brenda @ Fri Jan 16, 2009 9:35 pm
As long as the religious ladies that came to my door today bring the bible up as proof when I said I would believe it if they could prove it (they come to my door every 2 months, I actually like them, and they like me
), after I said that religion, as well as atheism, is a choice, and that you have to do your research instead of believe everything that is told to you, I think that is idle hope

If you get onto an 'Agnostic' bus there's a 50/50 chance you will or you won't reach your intended destination.
That driver would have a nervous breakdown trying to decide whether or not he should drive it.
Why are the city officials (government) taking money from this group of no faith losers?
I’m pretty sure separation means from the religion of none as well.

I KNOW it's for revenue. But they have a choice in which ads they accept - so they should allow their drivers some leeway too.
Not in today's economic times.

Standing up for principle is being a cry-baby?
Interesting thought.
I don't know about a principle, but they were sure standing up for intolerance.
If you don't agree with me, I'll punch your fat face in for atheism!*
*DISCLAIMER: Not serious, just making a point.

Why are people with no faith losers?
And... the ad said there is "probably" no God... What is the fuss about? Can't agnosts speak their mind?

It's intolerant to be intolerant of someone else's intolerance?
Hwacks bs makes me pretty intolerant, so... yes

Do ye, O men, speak RighteousnessDo ye, O men, speak righteousness
And upright judgment mete?
Nay, in your hearts is wickedness,
And in your hands deceit,
And in your hands deceit.
The wicked, from their earliest days,
In sin are gone astray,
With froward heart, in foolish pride,
From wisdom turned away,
From wisdom turned away.
The God of vengeance will destroy
The wicked from His sight;
The Lord will bring to naught their power
And scatter all their might,
And scatter all their might. The good shall triumph and rejoice,
And this shall be confessed:
On earth the God of justice reigns,
And righteousness is blest,
And righteousness is blest.
Just a thought

Not really. Axeman said religion caused this and that and blah blah blah. These lyrics prove what?
