I think we would all agree that a prosperous first world country would be ideal, but a pist-communist state would probably just go the way if mist banana republics, ruled by organied crime, local oligarchs, multinational corporations and US puppet dictators. Bautista was every bit as brutal and oppressive as Castro, which is why there was a revolution in the first place. So to the extent the righties don't care about Bautista's crimes, they shouldn't have such a hard-on for Castro.

Perhaps you could dig up some real opinions off the Internet, like from Honduras, Guatemaa, Nicauragua, Dominican Republic, Chile, etc from people who aren't filthy rich or gov't class and see how much better off they are for eating the shit of 10 US administrations.

More accurately where US corporate and mercantile interests were put first. Any communism down there was just icing on the cake for the US anyway because it gave them the additional monetary boost by providing them with an excuse to flood the place with weapons.
