The only right answer is a proven treatment that results in a fair chance of survival. Not a bunch of dumb fucks who can't support the treatment and the associated side affects. It's tragic that a child needs to go through this but these parents and the associates they've accumulated have sign the child's life away.

That's your opinion and that would be your choice. It shouldn't necessarily be imposed on everyone.

Yes. Good of you to put aside proven science and go with feelings. Not my opinion at all just proven educated fact.

Based on what you've chosen to read and believe. Nothing wrong with that, but there's a big world out there and you don't know everything. Not all of us are content with narrow minded blinders. Good of you to be.

Why so much noise? Simple future Darwin Awards nomination. In my city was a priest who had a jaundice and people where kissing cross from his hands, when someone was asking him "are you crazy?", he was answering that God will help him with this disease. Problem was solved with ambulance team from infection hospital and few strong cops.

Darwin Award? For a 10 year old?

Classy.

Your mother, of course, is not a ten year old minor.

Chemo is so toxic I can understand their reaction, though. The poor little kid.

Why should the parents be forced to put their child through chemo if another alternative is available? Sometimes the arrogance of doctors is what pushes people to seek a different kind of treatment.

Regina Regina:
Probably? What makes you think that?

My aunt also had it used Western medicine and died within two years.

In cases like that time is very important, 98% of "alternative doctor methods" are way to dig money for those who do it.

Darwin Awards aren't generally offered to the victims of the stupidity of the living.

You should be able to see that.

If the alternative is a science based and peer reviewed approach, then why not. If it's prayers, songs and some herbs, then maybe not.

Arrogance and ignorance can go hand in hand in their ability to kill.

Finally, western medicine isn't a cure all.

As the result they are dying because of it.

I'm not writing that because I'm aggressive because of her or parents actions.

I'm not sure I would choose any differently than she would, but then I've had most of my life.

Somebody removed from the situation needs to do an evaluation here. What is the prognosis for treatment? How sick is chemo making her, when it puts her in ICU? Is this going to be one of those "the operation was a success, unfortunately the patient died?" Maybe it's better to let her live out her natural life, with palliative care, than undergoing horrific treatment only to die a year later anyway. We certainly read about childhood leukemias coming back after very aggressive treatment and killing the child anyway.

Sure, but irrespective of that, you're going to keep the focus on the 10 year old. The victim here as she is hardly mature enough to make a decision of this importance.

Well, yeah, there's quite a difference from you and a 10 year old in decision making capabilities and life experience. So it's not comparable. However, an outside agency does need to step in. Unfortunately you'd need a rifle company to do it.

This leukaemia has a 75% survival rate with treatment. It's not some last ditch effort here on a terminal disease.

What I've chosen to read? ROTFL I've held more sick and disabled children in my hands than you will ever see on TV.

But she makes it anyway (if that's she, not her parents). In 10 years person can understand the difference if someone will explain.
