You all work? If your workplace offered for you and your family to get vaccinated without having to stand in line in the cold, and they suggest to you it's in your best interests to get the shot would you not get it?

Never! It's called not being selfish, when you yourself know your not at high risk to develop complications and yet you take away from someone who really needs it. Your right it is plain and simple. Calgary took advantage of the system and screwed fellow Canadians and the REAL high risk people from getting it by jumping the line while old ladies stood outside in the cold for hours only to be turned away. If they didnt think the did anything wrong there would be no conference, no apologies no nothing, except a "yeah we did it, what of it". Simple and only a fool or Calgary fan (oh wait there the same) would try to defend it.

We can dispense with the insults, I'm merely stating a fact. If my workplace said they can give me the shot I'd take it. By the By I agree it was wrong, like I said, I feel the anger is misplaced.

I should add that I have a wife that is breast feeding, a 2 month old little girl and a 10 year old boy, guess what, my wife sttod in line and got the shot as did my son, they won't vaccinate a 2 month old because her airways are too small and theres a potential for swelling.
I didn't get the shot, know why, cause I'm stuck at work from before the clinics open to after they are closed and they were closed on my day off.
So I talked to a good friend of mine that is an Herbalist and have followed some suggestions from her about NATURAL flu prevention practices. If anyones interested she has a group on Facebook, it's called How An Herbalist Mother Deals With Swine Flu. SHe's one of the healthies individuals I know.
I'll get the shot when I have time, or I won't. I'm truthfully not too worried about it.
Seems to me people need a scapegoat in this country and for now it's the Flames when it should be the Feds and the Provincial Health Board

I don't think Herbalists are a joke per say. It's common knowledge that the pharmceutical industry has it's giprs fimly implanted in our health care system, I think it's a matter of doing your research and making an informed decision.
I do plan on getting the shot once the hub-bub dies down a bit, in the meantime there are plenty of recognized and accepted natural methods of avoiding/fighting cold and flu.
There are in counter argument a great many things out there that cannot be realistically dealt with through these methods.
The trick today is finding a healthy balance between the 2, if we look into the basis for most modern medicine it's herbs and plants anyways.
