They should be a priority and not because they're a pro team. They are constantly traveling and are surrounded by many people in airports, arenas and restaurants. The shots aren't all about the prevention of them getting it, but also that they don't transmit the virus to others who haven't been vaccinated.

So are 100,000 of businesspeople who have to stand in line.

I think we will find they are not the only sports franchise to do this.

Good :)
I wish we could just have our elderly and young kids vaccinated at the place where they are most. Home or in school... I don't think standing in line is a good idea for the biggest risk group... :?

This doesn't really matter, there's Flames fans that would give up their place in line for their beloved heroes but they wouldn't do it for the pregnant woman herding her 4 kids to the door.

Did the Flames pay for the shots? If they were vaccinated because their a highrisk group then that's cool but if they paid to butt inlne for the shots then thats pretty low.

They are a high risk group and should be shot sooner rather than later.............I mean vaccinated.

Shot is more appropriate

And what about the Oilers, or do they have to fight it out
with the rest of the sheeple ? :)

Too bad, big strong hockey players worried about the Flu? it's more like the team is worried about losing players and dropping into the gutter. What a crock people should be pissed.

What does their profession have to do with whether they should be worried about the flue gigs? Are you saying a perfectly healthy person is immune from the flu? Well I consider myself a healthy physically fit male, however, as I have a 4 year old in kindergarten I am just as likely to catch what he brings home from school as some fat fucking slob whose kid is in the same class. Aside from the travels and exposure to the public these guys have compared to a regular joe like you or I have, keep in mind many of them also have small children, and if you have ever played team sports, you would realize that the atmosphere for a team (especially a pro team) is a breeding ground for something to spread. So to me that puts them at a high risk

Actually if you were up to speed on this flue you'd understand that it's not a "regular" flue and is indeed one that will and has killed young, strong and healthy adults. It's also one of the primary ways which stops the spread of the virus........if you'd have read what I wrote.
