Guys, all your gonna get is cute, smart-assed answers in the hopes that answering a question with a question will divert you from the notion that he has a clue.

If that doesn't work, he'll purposely act obtuse, or criticize you for doing something that he's done numerous times since joining the forum.

Why not, fight fire with fire.

You want to talk about flood gates, we'll talk about flood gates.

You want to talk about EI we'll talk about EI.

Recessions allow businesses the opportunity to become more efficient. As they ramp up as the economy starts to expand they will not recall all the employees they have laid-off. They will not need them and that's why we can expect continuing high unemployment. And, according to a story in yesterday's Wall Street Journal expect in the future to see a lot more outsourcing to Asian countries.

As unemployment levels go up expect the Oppos in the House to yak a lot more about "improved" EI. But don't expect Iggy to fight an election over it - the Libs aren't ready to do that.

Where did I write that?

You couldn't be bothered, you just linked to it.

So I didn't write it then did I?

Don't quote me saying "Eyebrock wrote" if I didn't write it. That's called lying.

He's attributed quotes to others that they didn't write as well, so you're not alone Eyebrock.

Ummmm...No we don't have flood gates like those, north and south of the city. That picture is from the Tennessee Valley.

PublicAnimalNo9 @ Wed Aug 05, 2009 7:43 am

Yeah, I should'a known that wasn't Winnipeg by the precence of HILLS LOL

ShepherdsDog @ Wed Aug 05, 2009 7:49 am

Look at the height of the gates and how the bridge in the background is a lot lower down. Those are the floodgates on top of a dam that heads a reservoir.

PublicAnimalNo9 @ Wed Aug 05, 2009 7:52 am

Yep it sure is. I don't think there's even anything that tall in all of Manitoba is there? lol

ShepherdsDog @ Wed Aug 05, 2009 7:58 am

Not in the SE part of the province, as the Pembina valley if fairly flat . Some of the hydro projects in the north ...maybe. It's only when you go N & W of Winnipeg do you find any hills, several river valleys and then Riding Mountain and the Duck Mountain which are actually old lake escarpments from Lake Aggassiz.

PublicAnimalNo9 @ Wed Aug 05, 2009 8:08 am

ahhh ok, The farthest 'north' I ever got in Manitoba was Lake Winnipeg lol Unless the 7 Sisters are farther north? Not sure, it was many moons ago that I lived in Winnipeg

ShepherdsDog @ Wed Aug 05, 2009 8:14 am

I've been all over the province. Lived there for about 13 yrs., but haven't been back for a few years. I plan on retiring there, as it's too expensive in BC.... plus I've already bought a couple properties there too.

You linked to an article that said the opposite of what you were arguing. You should have read the thing first.
