Jihadist cells urged to kill Canadians

Don’t worry Freakinoldguy when it happens the nay sayers will be the first under their desks, right BN ?
Oh and it will happen, you can't open the gates like we do and not allow some shit to seep in.
Yup with all our immigration that we have, we are bound to let in some bad apples. You know I would really like to just say fuck Islam, mainly because the religion preaches nothing but hate and violence and a lot of the people who follow it act on what it teaches them. I cannot do that because not all muslims are hateful religous fanatics although there are so many of them you can't really tell the difference of whos not one, and who is unti'll they start preaching or acting.
Thankfully these Islam nutjobs are not super-powers, or belonging to a super-power country other-wise... Who the hell knows, they believe they are a superior race, that all jews AND christians should die and that Islam is the only true way to god. A buffed up, super-nazi anybody?

Your absolutely correct nothing has changed. Some people believe the threats to be credible and some like you, don't.
So in essence it becomes a crap shoot, with human lives in the balance, to see who's right.
But then again, it couldn't happen in Canada could it?
Canada coming into terrorists' crosshairs: Lloyd's - November 2007'No question' Canada on terror list - March 2007Al-Qaeda warns Canada - October 2006Domestic terrorists exist in Canada: CSIS - May 2006I could go on...
I'm not saying it's not going to happen, but face it, we've been "threatened" plenty, so who cares if we're threatened again? Other than scaring people for no reason (you should note that Canada's name in the list of targetted countries was moved from near last in the original report to first in that article), is there any point to publishing this crap? Isn't scaring people exactly what they're trying to do in the first place?
Maybe nothing has come of these threats to date because we are taking the fight to these cowards on their home turf, the place that they used to be able to run their training camps with ease and no worries or out side interferences. Now they are so concerned with "invading westerners" that the attacks and North America and the west in general have dropped off as they have to deal with us in their own backyard. Seriously how long do people think we should just have sat back here and took it from them.
Fight them over there or we'll have to fight them here.
Can't believe Avro..ooops I mean Streaker has not weighed in with his "expert" opinion.
IMHO if someone shot my children I would be rather upset too.
If someone installed a brutal dictator in my country I would be mad too.
If somone stole my land and gave it to someone else I would be angry too.
If someone showed unconditional support for the people who shot my children, took over my country and stole my land I might be upset at them too.
So why are we surprised that they are targeting us? Seems like if we declare war on them we should expect they are not going to try to attack us.

The Cole, both WTC attacks, just to name a few, not sure Donnie but I am pretty sure they came up with the idea of war against us.
Long time, how've you been?

I don't consider it a scare tactic but more like an information tool. Just like the campaigns for AIDS, smoking, drinking and driving, which most people don't consider scare tactics but rather valuable information so you can make the right decisions to protect yourself.
So it would seem pretty nieve of us in this overly protective nanny state to pay attention to every scare campaign that comes along and yet dismiss the one, that because it hasn't happened yet isn't real. I can remember when we were told the only people who could get aids were gay. Well guess what, that was proved wrong to.

So how are you personally using this "valuable" information to protect yourself?

Personally, I don't have unprotected sex with strangers, I don't drink and drive and I am quiting smoking.
Oh, were you talking about terrorism?
Well I pay closer attention to my surroundings and am more aware of the unusual when traveling. I am also more aware of the actions of people I interact with.
While I'm not afraid of terrorism and don't let it rule my life, I am congnizant of it, because the threats there whether you like it or not.

In other words, nothing really at all, much less anything specific that relates to these "new" threats.

we should provide them with a list of muslim canadians. Once some of them are killed while vacationing in their homeland, then maybe someone in Canada will start publishing a list of terrorist sympathizers in Canada.
What about Muslim Canadians that were born in Canada? What about the majority of Muslims that do not support violent jihadists? How many fucking times can we rehash this same stupid topic?

Alot of people in Canada seem to have Neville Chamberlin syndrome and figure if we appease or ignore them, they'll just go away happy. This denial mindset is what's going to get us in big trouble.
A lot of dumbasses seem to think that no time has passed since the second world war.

People's opinions have nothing to do with whether or not these threats become reality. Our police, including border and port security, are doing their job. That's why seven people planning to blow up various locations in Canada are sitting in a concrete room.
$1:
But then again, it couldn't happen in Canada could it?
I could, but it's unlikely. You see, when people who want to kill other people put up a website detailing all of their plans to do so, it immediately sends up red flags with the authorities and they do something about it to make sure it doesn't happen. It's not even very hard to stop, because the plans are on the internet.

It already did, and we botched it completely.
And they weren't Muslims.
Doesn't give you a warm fuzzy feeling does it?
Actually, it does, because I know I'm safe because authorities are doing their job.

That is exactly how you tell the difference. Most Muslims are not violent people. The only reason you would think that is because of a dumb stereotype that's largely been spread by the media.
