My niece pointed out that we shopped at a huge farmer's market and ate dinner at a kitchen-in-a-fishboat place right there when we visited.... lovely scenic area for something this awful to happen.
I suppose we;ll never know what set this nutcase off.

Sounds like the Masstown Market...

It's a part of the world my family has been in since 1745... family farm still there.

Confirmed today some of my father's clients lost family to this attack this weekend.
Everyone from here will know someone

The biggest fear I think I’d have as a cop in a situation like this would be killing the wrong person, doubly so here where the shooter had a police car.

Well that didn't take long. And no surprise.

Better watch out when the pandemic is over...

I have lived in 5 countries; 7 states/provinces; 12 cities; but Nova Scotia was always, is always, and will always be home and the place I wish I were in.

So, could someone from the gun control crowd please tell us what type of firearm or firearms Gabriel Wortman used to murder these people and whether they were registered, unregistered or stolen?

Because, after the PM's statement on "gun control" it's become very important to the future of gun ownership in Canada and has made even finding the real reason or reasons for this madman's actions secondary to a political agenda.

Talk about political opportunism. The bodies haven't even been laid to rest and he's using them as a weapon in his campaign for gun control.

Well if he were Muslim, or even someone of some vague middle eastern / South Asian ancestry than can be loosely linked to Islam regardless of whether he himself was religious, the righties would be all over politicizing this. But since it’s just another murderous White male as almost all mass shooters are it’s another “isolated incident” and any discussion is “politicizing a tragedy”. Right?

We will find out soon enough what kind of firearms he had and take it frim there.

Switching topics, what I’m interested in learning about is whether it’s legal to replicate a police cruiser. I know there are laws against impersonating an officer and against unauthorized use of lights and sirens, but shouldn’t it be illegal to even own a realistic looking fake cop car and forge official decals, etc?

I don't think we will. I have been paying attention, and with the last couple mass shootings I wasn't able to find out that information before I lost interest and forgot to check.

It's good that Trudeau is not letting this tragedy go to waste.
