Mass Shooting in Nova Scotia

That and she was with child. The interview was heartbreaking.
Many of the interviews I've been hearing have been heartbreaking.

We will find out soon enough what kind of firearms he had and take it frim there.
I don't think we will. I have been paying attention, and with the last couple mass shootings I wasn't able to find out that information before I lost interest and forgot to check.
RCMP have not confirmed it yet, but it's possible that he may have used whatever weapons Officer Stevenson had with her after she was gunned down.
After that rampage in New Brunswick that killed three RCMP officer a few years ago, she could have had an AR-15 in her vehicle that he could have stolen and used.

But what did he kill her with? He would also have her Glock sidearm.
If true, that will be a uncomfortable conversation.

RCMP do not carry Glocks. My understanding is he was not legally allowed to possess any firearms, and did not have a license.

I stand corrected. It's the Alberta Sheriffs and Edmonton Police Service that carry Glocks. RCMP use an S&W 9mm.

RCMP confirmed he did not have license for any firearm (no PAL). Hence any measures taken would be ineffective because he was never legally allowed to own any.

Oh don't worry, that's not going to stop Trudeau and the Liberal Party.
Won't even slow them down.
It’s disconcerting how little we understand such behaviour at the moment and how few predictive tools we have, esp. for older, non-psychotic men who do this. It will be interesting to see what emerges about him in the months and years ahead. So far, we’ve apparently got a remote history of assault, perhaps an alcohol problem, minor issues with intimate partners, some questionable business deals, a peculiar interest in the RCMP - nothing that would cause great alarm but together might suggest anti-social personality which doesn’t mean very much. There’s a video of him changing jackets here during the rampage and you wouldn’t guess he’s under any pressure, at least from this distance.

Were COVID confinement and possible business pressures just a coincidence? Did he ever apply for the RCMP and was turned down? Some of these mass killings do seem to proceed from victims well known to the shooter on to random targets, as if there is disinhibition going on once you’ve crossed that line and you can then do what you’ve always fantasized about.
The RCMP confusion in dealing with this case deserves investigation, but it’s better not to have too much experience with real-life scenarios like this in our country. Talk of any legal reform on guns is premature. Let’s figure out what happened first in detail.

Interesting that on day one of this event hitting the news that the perp's name and details get released.
With so many other mass shootings it's usually several days before we know the name
of the Muslim terrorist.

It will be even more interesting if the shooter used the rifle meant for RCMP to protect themselves after the Moncton shootings.

that is exactly my thoughts, I bet he took her service pistol and her carbine rifle. Then used those to commit more of the murders.
