Mosque to be built in shadow of 9/11s Ground Zero
To get back to topic....
I think it is not a problem for a Mosque to be built there. People of all faiths died on that spot on Sept. 11 2001. There was not an announcement given to all Muslims.
"Hey we are going to level this block. All brothers and sisters of Mohamed should clear out. We only wanna kill infidels!"
It is far past time we rise above the hate and show some healing....for all of us. If not the extremist on both sides have divided the world and have won.

When are you going to get it... Muslims have an agenda and that is the conversion of the infidels and world dominance. Ever ask yourself why after 9/11 there are thousands of them here? why? and it is the erosion of the assholes in Christendom and the falling away of those assholes that will allow it..
Excuse me kenmore! It is you who does not "get it". Not all Muslims have the "World Domination Agenda". Most are peace loving people like you....hum....well maybe more so. It is just the extremist that get the headlines. The media has to sell the news and that's what sells. How many papers would sell if the headline above the fold read "Islamic group helps community" Then there is the right wing conservative media continuing to perpetuate the idea that THEY ALL WANT YOU TO CONVERT OR BE PUT TO THE SWORD!!!! Don't let conservative talk radio be your only source of news along with Fox News. Not to mention the right wingnut blogs.
BTW you should take another look at your own Signature Line. Watch out you are dangerously close to being in contradiction with yourself.
If all or part of what you say is true. And that could be so.
Why don't these PEACE Loving muslims stand up side by side and DENOUNCE the murders of innocents???? WHY????
Some have but that just does not make a good news story. Western as well as Eastern clerics have denounced the extremists. If you have not heard it, or refuse to hear it, it does not make it not so.

Do you hear random catholics on the streets denounce the pedophile priests? Only when you ask them. Talk to muslims, ask them what they think, and you shall get your answer.

"YESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!" My Catholic daughter and son-in-law. And, many more Catholic friends. In our small town know most folks we run across out&about. Here the majority are Lutheran.

Why would it not be?

Do you see *any* Catholics demanding that the Pope be allowed to rule the world or that non-Catholics should be forced to pay tribute to Catholics and that Catholics have a right to lord it over everyone else?
Sorry, but there's no comparison.

I dunno about the average Catholic, but I'm sure the Vatican would be quite happy to achieve that.
I am all for it, as soon as we can throw up a Anglican Chapel in downtown Baghdad and a couple in Kandahar City.

How many muslims have you talked to?
ALL of the muslims I have talked to denounce the 9/11 attackers. It's not true that all muslims are assholes and want Islam to rule the world. They just want to live their lifes and pray to their god the way any catholic wants to live theirs.

What do people who live in NYC have to do with BAghdad or Kandahar?
It's sarcasm Brenda

Let's just ban all churches, mosques, temples and be done with it.

To his credit, I don't think the current occupant at St. Peter's would be interested.
