Obama's a Proud Muslim and he will shove it down your throat
Anyone who points out certain facts - like Obamas love of everything Islam, that others would rather not hear about - is smeared as part of a tinfoil hat conspiracy. Obama is a Muslim and he made little if any comment on it during the lead up to his installment as potus ( his remarks on religion during that period indicated he was a Christian, likely because he had no choice ), now is that fact or fiction? It's kind of along the lines that 21 Muslims committed the atrocities on 911, seems like blaming Muslims has become a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory and according to the big O, we need to fall on our knees and thank Mohammed for bringing civilization to a brutal world. But that's all ancient history now, and in light of Obama's leanings it's just not cool to bring up 911 - one would hate to disturb the new emperor.

The position you are in is that of denying and refuting things that Obama said himself.
No. The claim of these threads always starts with "Obama IS a muslim", or "Obama admits he's a Muslim", and in every case, no he doesn't. So no, refuting this bs is not refuting anything he's said himself.
Show me where he states he is a muslim and I'll retract that happily and never bring up the subject again.

In one of the most astonishing gaffes in American political history, in a national televised interview with ABC's George Stephanopoulus, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama referred to "my muslim faith," confirming what researchers and political opponents have been claiming.
While Stephanopoulus several seconds later tried to correct him, saying "Christian faith," it was too late. The damage was done. Obama clearly did not mean his Christian faith, since he was admitting that "John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith." The term "Christian faith" would not make sense in that context.

My point is that the man keeps saying these things and feeding fuel to the fire. If he really isn't a Muslim then perhaps he should STFU when it comes to saying things that are readily interpreted as his being a Muslim or a champion of Islam.
Most people who go on about Obama being a Muslim are just mad that he's not white.

Are you kidding me? No really Bart: Are. You. Kidding. Me?
I just wasted 2 minutes or so of my life because I honestly thought you had something and then i watched/listened to the video. I don't personally care too much about Obama to be honest, one way or another, but what I just heard in that video doesn't even come close to the border of a 'gaff'. You say he should diffuse this and quit adding fuel to the fire. There's nothing on that video to diffuse. There is no fuel there being added to the non-existant fire and no reasoned rational adult could hear what he said in that video and liken it to being 'readily interpreted as his being a muslim'.
If you think that video means anything then you should've done your patriotic duty and gone out and shot Bush jr. within the first year of his presidency.

No it wasn't too late:

Let's not play games. What I was suggesting -- you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith. And you're absolutely right that that has not come--
STEPHANOPOULOS: Christian faith.
OBAMA: -- my Christian faith. Well, what I'm saying is that he hasn't suggested--
STEPHANOPOULOS: Has connections, right.
OBAMA: -- that I'm a Muslim. And I think that his campaign's upper echelons have not, either.
Nothing there to correct. When he says 'John McCain hasn't talked about my Muslim faith' he is CLEARLY talking about groups and individuals who accuse him of being a muslim. The article should read it like this:

This is a childs game --
"You said 'cooties' that means you got 'em" -- and franklly I'm a little surprised you would even bring it forward.

I am not saying he is a Muslim. I am saying that where he knows this is an issue he needs to either be much more careful with his choice of words or he needs to avoid the subject as much as possible. That's all.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
Someone is going to kill Obama.
And it's going to be an idiot.
Then I am sure you're at the top of the Secret Service's watch list.
Hey, it could be worse. The dude could be a scientologist

Careful with his choice of words? Dude he was talking about people talking about him being having a Muslim faith and used the words, "McCain has not talked about my 'Muslim faith'" in that exact context. He could not have been more careful and still address the subject the very same people would have lamblasted him for not addressing.

You know what I wasn't going to do this originally because I didn't want to offend anyone but seriously screw it.
Djakeydd you ARE a tinfoil hat idiot It's not that anyone thinks that Obama being a Muslim would be the end of the world. It's that you go on idiotic ramblings like the one you just put out that puts your brain on the same level as that of the worst of Westboro baptist church.
Frankly you ARE an idiot and I'm not alone in that thought I am very very sure. I really honestly hope that your avatar is not a picture of yourself either or you really are about as far up hicktown as one can get.
Either grow up and grow some brains or don't bother trying to present anything you post as more then a sick joke. Thanks.
edit: I should point out that no I do NOT believe that Obama is a Muslim either. I think it's very very clear to anyone who does any research on the man's past that he is far more involved with the Christian community then any of these tinfoil hat idiots would bother to like to know.

Other things he could have said;
McCain has not said that I was a Muslim.
McCain is not saying that I am a Muslim.
I am not a Muslim and John McCain has never said anything to the contrary. But what was said was something that could be considered a Freudian slip and some folks are taking it as exactly that.

Not in my opinion. The only way that could happen is if someone cuts up every sentence, ignores all context and purposely and dishonestly tires to make it sound like something they know full well isn't. Like I said, it' a childish game. You don't fall for it, ok, I get that,(and I'm relieved), but someone has to pretty much be out to make any form of milarky out of something they already know is BS for your scenario to play out.

Politicians parse words all the time. Palin right now is getting hung for things she said out of turn and etc.
It's part of life when you're on a national stage.
Yes, it is childish to parse everyone's words but everyone does it and with that in mind a sharp guy like Obama should take that into consideration when he speaks.
