Obama's a Proud Muslim and he will shove it down your throat

I didn't know that either.
Thanks for the correction.
I stand corrected as well. I did say you'd just find a reason to say something like that wouldn't count but you didn't. I was wrong. In my defense I was also busy.
Sorry, no apologies here. It's exactly what I said. You may find an exception, like say, Beck (who incidentally said he won't necessarily vote republican, but will vote his conscience) making a statement in a quick quote from media matters like "If you're not going to fight to win, get out" - something he claims he also said under the Bush administration.
However the leap from that to the general assumption Republican politicians, their supporters, or pro-republican media in general now support peace by defeat, or have suddenly become what was referred to as "peaceniks" just to be anti-Obama is flat out incorrect.
If however Obama continues to dither, and refuses to take his General's advice of more troops, it won't surprise me if you start to hear more talk like Beck's

The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were. . . . the general principles of Christianity. - JOHN ADAMS
Find me a similar quote from one of the Founding Fathers of the US, and I might be impressed.
If you were not the dumbass you're proving yourself to be you'd know that John Adams was preminent among the Founding Fathers.
As to your other scholarly disembling upon the 'separation of church and state' it is not something that is part of our Constitution, it is a quotation from a letter of Thomas Jefferson's to a church congregation explaining why the Congress was not going to create a national church in 1801.
The Sixth US Circuit Court, in an uncontested ruling (6/5/2008), stated that the use of the term 'separation of church and state' and 'wall of separation' was extra-constituional and that the use of the term as having some legal basis (which it does not) was "tiresome".

Doing a bit of research again on Beck (oh please don't make me watch anymore of this jackass) his whole take on the war on Iraq was that it was really a war to get to Iran. Which begs the question why not just freaking invade Iran in the first place!
Personally I think he's on crack. I think Bush meant what he said that this war WAS about Saddam and WMDs and that Iran was NOT the reason. Beck has also in the past been very stern about the war in Iraq equating bringing the troops home with black slavery.
http://thinkprogress.org/2007/04/24/beck-slavery/I can't find any instance of Beck telling off Bush to fight or pack it up. One should note with the video above that one article comes from when Beck was still on CNN.

John WHO? ...

Wow, you're really the ambassador the US needs. I know who John Adams was, thank you. The 13 years of US public education (not to mention college) I went through wasn't
that bad. Your quotation-fishing doesn't change anything, and last I checked, there was only one court whose opinion really mattered in the long run in constitutional matters, and it ain't the Sixth Circuit...
If anything, it shows how much you take for granted in Adams's religious views. He was a deist and a Unitarian, and the sort of 'Christianity' he was talking about is not the same one you learned about down at the ol' church house, Cletus. Not to mention that, of all the US Founding Fathers, he was the one that showed the most disregard for the personal liberties and due process that the US is supposed to be all about (Alien and Sedition Acts ring a bell? because I still remember it from grade 8 US history). So that shows how much he respected other constitutional guarantees, ones even you don't dare contest, when push came to shove and people were criticising his government.
Face it; the Establishment Clause prevents Christianity from being your State religion, prevents it from being propagated in your public schools, prevents you from legislating in the name of any religion etc, etc...

Anyone who points out certain facts - like Obamas love of everything Islam, that others would rather not hear about - is smeared as part of a tinfoil hat conspiracy. Obama is a Muslim and he made little if any comment on it during the lead up to his installment as potus ( his remarks on religion during that period indicated he was a Christian, likely because he had no choice ), now is that fact or fiction? It's kind of along the lines that 21 Muslims committed the atrocities on 911, seems like blaming Muslims has become a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory and according to the big O, we need to fall on our knees and thank Mohammed for bringing civilization to a brutal world. But that's all ancient history now, and in light of Obama's leanings it's just not cool to bring up 911 - one would hate to disturb the new emperor.
Im sorry to disturb you by countering whatever opinions you may hold dear to yourself. I will continue to use this forum and will voice my thought here as much and at any time I wish to. I could frankly care less what you think or what you may happen to think anyone else here thinks. That is why they are called "opinions", everyone has one and they are shaped by things like world view, peer pressure, conditioning and on and on and on - they generally have little or no correlation to truth.
djakeydd djakeydd:
And how in the name of anything that is sacred did the USA, the country that was ruthlessly attacked by muslims on 911 and that was founded on the principles of the Christian Bible, ever come to electing this proud, pompous asshole, as potus??????
http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=tCAffMSWSzY#t=28Please someone, tell me..
That red hat on your head has a tinfoil lining doesn't it?
Actually, I don't wear hats. My point is that Islam has made huge advances into the states over the past few years. I find it rather amazing given what should cause some reluctance from U.S. citizens and therefore immigration toward immigration by Muslims as this has followed on the heels of 911. On top of that, their president looks like a duck, talks like a duck and acts like a duck - so my observation stands. As to the foundational principles of the U.S., their contstitution is founded on the rule of the Law, primarily spiritual law which was passed down through the ages and at it's core is the Holy Bible. That is beyond refute. Notwithstanding, Christianity (not religion) has been under increased attack in the U.S., Canada and the developed world for years now and this effort to destroy true Christianity has almost reached it's nadir. The hate toward Christians is now blatant, ubiquitous and prophecied in the Bible. I have heard the hate and derision by Obama toward us, and through the new hate crimes laws just passed he will implement the banning of the true version of the Christian Bible. These are the type of things going on, which I am trying to point out, unfortunately, next to no one gets the point of where this is headed. It will mean persecution of the true Christian church (not the watered down 501c3 version which is owned by the state) to a point never seen in western society. This in turn, will strengthen it, weed out the chaff as has happened in China, where Christianity has been hammered by the state and is thriving, the same is headed here.

Presumambly if you're saying that they U.S as a whole is found upon the "holy Bible" you might want to explain the actual existence of this 'god' and even if it there were such a god (which is very very unlikely, and certainly no evidence exists to prove that existence) Then you may want explain how this god person you speak of promoted genocide, slavery, human sacrifice, bigotry and ritualized murder.
I dont hate 'christians' or 'muslims' any more than i hate Wickans or Druids, i just happen to think that they have willingly let go of rational thought and arent the best people to be making politcal deicisions because they think there is a giant space daddy in the sky murmuring in their ear on how to make life decisions.
But i digress, you clearly believe this 'religion' nonsense, even though there is no acual proof that backs up your claims.
Tinfoil indeed

Bart,
Knock it off with "America is a Christian nation". What does that even mean? America is only America when it's Christian? Christians have a special place in America? America has a role to play in worldwide Christianity? America is meant to promote Christianity over other religions?
Claiming America is a Christian nation is nothing more than religious bigotry based on myopic history. Why not just claim that America is a white nation too? All of the same evidence exists to show that's equally true.
So please, do yourself a favour and ask yourself what does America is a Christian nation really even mean?

Really? Where in the bible is rape prohibited? Lot was spared destruction in Sodom
because he threw his wife and daughter to the butt-hungry mob rather than the two angels. Serving them up for a gang-rape was
good in the eyes of God.
Stew on that one a while. When you're done, show me where arson, assault and kidnapping are out. Hey, maybe there's a
true version of the bible you can use!

IS a true version of the Christian Bible? Really? So every Christian who doesn't read from this true version is a deluded fraud?
Wow. That's a theological bombshell you just set off.

Okay Dayseed I'm glad i was able to catch this one. On a documentary I was watching(I'm sorry I can't recall the name of it or post a link so I ask that you just please take my word about the content i reveal. You see in that culture back them the most humiliating experience a household could experience is not being able to provide hospitality towards guests(the homos who wanted to fudgepack the guests Lot had. By offering his daughters he was in compliance to his religion since God ordained conventional sexual acts vs perverse ones so Lot was good in God's eyes by offering his daughters. It that whacked? Probably but that's what Hebrew culture demanded at that time.

And your point is?
My point is that the bible doesn't prohibit rape and Lot was rewarded for throwing his wife and daughter to the mob. Bringing it full circle, our laws are NOT biblical and if America is a Christian nation, let's hear it for rape, arson, assault and kidnapping.
Repeal those laws Christians! They're an affront to God!

The very fact that you don't believe opinions should be or are based on any kind of truth says enough about how much merit you put into something before you believe it.
Most of us need evidence before we will believe something. That is my problem. I've never seen you post anything that even contained a speck of real fact to back up your belief.
