Photos of women being forced to remove 'burkinis' spark outr
As stupid as the burkini is, police officers should NEVER be forcing a woman to strip down in public. If they want to enforce their stupid bigoted ban why don't they just escort the women off the beach and send them on their way.

I don't feel like going through the story and trying to figure it out... did they really force the women to take them off, or did they give them a choice, "leave or take it off" and what we're seeing is only the women taking the second option?

I think it might be time for a today in bigotry omnibus thread. How the hell is this any different than a wetsuit? Why do people always have to try to up the anti? People should be able to wear whatever they want ffs. I'm so triggered by this. Hate begets hate.

Hey most of us gave the finger to Christian churches that insisted on BS like clothing options. But I won't go out of my way to harass some Hutterite at the beach either.
My old lady's a redhead and cooks like bacon on a beach. She's out splashing in the water with a long shirt, long shorts and huge sombrero with the grandkids.
So are most of the fat ladies... (not an insult! I was a proud to be fat person - stomp your head flat if you got a problem with it - crowd before the diabetes miracle diet...)

The Hutterites probably won't try to use a big rig truck to kill a hundred people down on the beachfront either.

Oh but a farm equipment jihad would be a real horror-show.
That's how to pull the wind from these bastards sails - trivialize it with a tacky teen horror movie. Instead of knowing the first ones to have sex get hacked, it's the dark haired girl that shows an ankle, the geeky guy who has bacon. Show them as just everyday plain old psychos.
Bruce Campbell and friends in an old cabin, find a book called the Neccchhh-ronomi'quran

Yeah but that's not really anything to do with swimwear is it?

Both have everything to do with a patriarchal religious and cultural attitude so intense that it leads to both demented terrorist attacks and to treating women as mere property that are to be covered up from head-to-toe. Like I've said before, you guys are the liberals here. You're the ones who are supposedly strong feminists, or so you claim, yet you happily sell out these women to men so misogynist that they make the authoritarian do-what-I-say American father from the 1950's look like a fucking do-what-you-like hippy in comparison.
Hierarchy of victim status: Muslim>>>>>>gay/women. It's obvious to anyone who pays enough attention to who liberals will defend and who liberals won't.

She didn't strip. She just took off the equivalent of a wind breaker.

That, in turn, will be overturned by the Legislative Assembly.

That's like saying the Battle of Guadalcanal didn't really have anything to do with Pearl Harbor.
They're different actions in the same war.

Yet Nuns in Habits on the beach are fine. Weird.

If I want to wear a goddamn wind breaker on the beach, I will!
Maybe my skin can't handle sun but my kids want to go to the beach anyway!
