Japan has a high standard of living but practices severe protectionism...

I don't like the corporatism mentality of it's corporations... For example At the Toyota run schools the children sign the Toyota corporate song and not Japan's national anthem...

got a link for that hot one

I read it on a WIKI page that is being hosted by a couple of college drug fiend's mp3 trading ftp server.... :D :D :D :D

Actually 5 years ago or so CBC had a special on Toyota. You work for Toyota in Japan, you live in a an apartment owned by Toyota, your children attend schools owned by Toyota and each morning they sing the Toyota them song and not the national anthem of Japan....

Too bad about your Make Beliefs losing. It's been a rough day for you so I'll go gentle.... :D :D :D :D

Wow..let's just rip pages out of history that are over 200-300 years of age and pretend it never happened then eh?

In your small little world I guess the Battle of Gettysburg never took place, there is no reference to Oliver Cromwell or Julius Ceasar or Copernicus....

I guess at Christmas time you don't read A Christmas Story as Dickens is rather old....

Better yet lets just rip out the pages of history you disagree with... Of course I'm not surprised that is what other socialist have done with history... So celebrate the birthday of Joesph Stalin and not Queen Victoria's birthday in May....

I thought you'd be too despondent to touch a keyboard after Sundin tucked one away in the shootout and put the Make Beliefs to sleep...

WHAT IN THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? I'm not sure whether to take away a reputation point for being the dumbest fuck around or give you three for being the funniest fucker ever.

Go a head laugh at me... Well the world laughed at Rodney Dangerfield and Charlie Chaplin!!!! But since we are talking comedy, Groucho was king, WC Fields a close second... was always partial to Zippo over Gummo as the forth Marx brother but Chico always got the girl hence the nickname Chico (Chick-o).... :D :D :D

Typical Leafs fan...when they lose you decree "their not my team" but when they win you're back on the Leaf wagon like a cheap whore onto an American sailor...

It must have made your day when Lanny MacDonald scored that winner in game 7 and knocked the Islanders out...

:D :D :D :D

Buy cars from China... Read my lips..."NEVER will I buy a car from China..."

We can't trust the lead painted toys from China or the canned food so like HELL I'll trust the safety of my family to car from China....!!!!!!!

China who produced propaganda dvds glorifying the 911attacks against NYC?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... 27-US.html

I will never surrender the sovereignty of North America to these foreign tyrants....

better check under the hood of your next GM.

GM putting Chinese engines in its compact SUVs...since 2005

http://www.trucktrend.com/features/news ... index.html

http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/03/25/ ... /chevy.php

"GM has neither broadcast nor hidden the fact that the Equinox engine (and that of its twin, the Pontiac Torrent) is made in China. The car's sticker notes that 55 percent of its parts are from the United States and Canada, 20 percent from Japan, 15 percent from China, and the rest from elsewhere. But no sticker tells consumers the engine is built at Shanghai General Motors, a joint venture between GM and Shanghai Automotive Industry, a Chinese company.

Originally intended to power Buick sedans built for the Chinese market, the engine is the only one available in the Equinox base model. Starting this model year, a larger American-made motor became an option in a higher-end version of the SUV. The same model of engine as the one made in China is produced at a GM engine plant in Tonawanda, New York, about a two hour drive from the Canadian factory that builds the Equinox."

Mtbr...this is what I've been arguing against since day #1... We can not lose our manufacturing to overseas plants and companies... GM and others are being pressured to do this type of crap in order to compete with the slave labour tactics of companies like Toyota...

At least we agree on something.... :D :D :D :D

mtbr @ Mon Feb 23, 2009 10:06 am

yeah ...right

I'll buy my made in Canada Toyota and you can buy your Chinese GM products.

stemmer @ Mon Feb 23, 2009 10:19 am

Mtbr - I know we joke around alot on this topic and we really mean no harm to each other but that said, how do you think Toyota, GM, Nissan and others will be able to compete with the many car manufacturing plants in China and India?

Why do you think Maurice Strong is now living in China? Do you not find it odd when Jean Chretien left the PMO his first job was fronting a Desmarais trade mission to China? Our sovereignty is being sold and it **pisses** me off!!!!!
