Yep, apparently neither the Liberals NOR the Conservatives can be trusted as far as they can be thrown. But then again, anyone that hasn't figured that out by now is either a moron or just recently got interested in politics.
Zipperfish Zipperfish:
Apparently the wags and pundits are looking for a name for the lake,...
Lake Watawaste
KorbenDeck KorbenDeck:
What happens to the lake after?
John Baird slurps it down in one go and then pisses it all out on Canadians as he tells us how well the Conservatives manage money.

Can we try work Tony Clement or Tim Hudak into any cracks involving John Baird pissing on someone?
The Harperites have been pissing on us all along. That's why they call us peons.
It is time for Canadians to get back at 'em.
GET PISSED!!! AND TOSS'EM OUT NEXT TIME!!!

That's why they got in in the first place. 12 years of us being pissed on by the Liberals.
The cycle never ends.
Hmmmm well perhaps there is an idea tell the foreign press that it is a communal toilet. It will be cleaned out in three days anyhow. The only problem is it hasn't been built yet and it already stinks.
nicely put B.B.
Isnt that fake lake actually harpers hair piece
Boy , and I thought our folks in D.C. were stupid and wasteful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
$1:
Creating fake lakes for the amusement of reporters appears to be turning into a cottage industry.
Liberals have installed their own water feature in the garden at the Official Opposition leader's residence in Ottawa.
And, they've done it for just $19.95 _ a fraction of $1.9 million the Harper government is spending to recreate the look of Muskoka cottage country in a Toronto media centre for the G-8 and G-20 summits.
In the middle of Liberal Leader Michel Ignatieff's yard was a blue plastic children's wading pool. A cardboard plaque proclaimed it to be "Fake Lake Harper" and warned "No Diving."

Perhaps they could put some fishies in that lake, give something for the journalists to do in their spare time.

Fill it full of booze and all the journalists would empty it the first day.
The Conservatives achieved success with the G20 in getting the global bank tax killed. Then there is this bit of going over board to impress the same group for the meeting in Ontario that over shadows an important achievement. I am not sure the two items balance out in that the cost of the summit may be larger. Yes it costs money for any country to host this group. Yes there will be important infrastructure as a legacy. Yes Ontario's economy does need a boost. The cost of hosting the group just seems to be too high. Maybe holding it in Kananaskis would have been cheaper. The bears are hungry at this time of year and would be an effective perimeter guard. THey work cheap too.
