This story is pretty disgusting. Wealthy people using their money to cut to the head of the line. That is not news, we all knew that to be true. I say lets take a look at the hypocrites who are responsible for this cheating scandal.

No shock that a bunch of left wing hypocrites are to blame. Almost all of the people arrested are major contributors to the democratic party. Only one of the people arrested has been a major contributor to the Republican party, one. These left wingers (like Felicity Huffman) are constantly whining about how the system is keeping the little man down, and that the government needs to step in to remedy the situation. It looks like she may get her wish. Hypocrites like Felicity Huffman are the problem. She used her massive wealth to move her children to the head of the line, and deprive a more deserving student from attending that college. Now the government IS going to step in to help remedy the situation by putting her ass in a jail cell.

That said, I believe that something should be done about this situation. However sending armed men to kick in doors and million dollar bonds for people not charged with violent offenses is horseshit. I did not like it with Roger Stone, and I do not like it now.

I don't know why you felt the partisan affiliation of the participants is what's important here. What's significant is that this is how rich people behave, how they've always behaved, and how they always will behave. Who they vote for is irrelevant and if you think there aren't a shit-load of rich Republicans out there right now who aren't gaming the system themselves in the favour of themselves and for their shitty children then you're being deliberately blind.

This is how the wealthy regard ALL of us:

Image

Anyone who disputes this is a fool. Or, even worse, they who play the irrelevant "which party do you belong to?" game while these scum-sucking rich parasites are laughing at us is just doing the work of dividing us with irrelevancies, and all that does is ensure the rich will keep winning forever.

Wake up.

TV stars and coaches charged in college bribery scheme

$1:
BOSTON (AP) — Fifty people, including Hollywood stars Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, were charged Tuesday in a scheme in which wealthy parents allegedly bribed college coaches and other insiders to get their children into some of the nation’s most elite schools.

Federal authorities called it the biggest college admissions scam ever prosecuted by the U.S. Justice Department, with the parents accused of paying an estimated $25 million in bribes.

“These parents are a catalog of wealth and privilege,” U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling said in announcing the results of an investigation code-named Operation Varsity Blues.

Yep you're correct, party affiliation means nothing when money will buy anything.

Money (and that nagging foot problem) is what got Trump out of serving.

Have you not heard of this Republican guy called Donald Trump,

- who’s dad paid his way out of serving in Vietnam
- who inherited his wealth from said dad
- who to this day threatens his former schools not to release his grades?

Sounds like he’s one of theses people

Apparently Loughlin's daughter, in her own words, cares little about school and is only there for the "parties and game days". She makes money hand over fist on Instagram as an "influencer", i.e. make-up and diet-scam companies use her as an inexpensive advertising venue for their products because (for some god-knows-why reason in this hellish age) that kind of social media is perfect for a vapid & empty-headed little girl to sucker other vapid & empty-headed little girls into buying crap. So, effectively, her mom bribed some dirty officials at a university to give her idiot daughter a spot, one that she's not even interested in using, that could have been used by someone else from the unprivileged & unwashed to learn something, then get a good job, and maybe make a decent life for themselves.

Whatever. Anyone who thinks that perfect storm of money & image will change anything obviously hasn't been paying attention to how this world works, or to who all these crooked games are working out best for. Same as it ever was.

Because I hate hypocrites. I think that it is a lot worse when a priest gets caught molesting a child than when a joe nobody gets caught. One is in a position of trust, and one is not. One has the backing (and power) of the entire Catholic church to help move them out of the country to avoid prosecution (and start molesting all over again somewhere else). The other does not. Same goes for fire and brimstone preachers getting caught with under age girls or prostitutes. Same goes for anti gay politicians who get caught in a tryst with a same sex member. If someone is going to talk the talk, than they need to walk the walk. Its that simple.

I do not see any republicans saying lets take money away from the rich to give to the poor. Do you? I do not see any republicans saying that we should all be equal (because we are not). Do you? Off course the rich have advantages that I do not. That does not mean that I am going to round them up and send them off to the guillotines. A rich man signs my paycheck every week. No poor man ever gave me a job. When I need more money I line up more side jobs repairing furnaces and air conditioners. I do not believe that the rich owe me a damn thing, unless I am handing them a repair bill.

Thanos @ Tue Mar 12, 2019 8:27 pm

Why on earth would a Republican do anything that might "afflict" the rich when the entire reason for the existence of the Republican Party is to ensure that the wealthy stay in a perpetual position of comfortable dominance over everyone else, no matter what the cost eventually is to everyone else or to the stability & health of the entire country? It's a silly as expecting a Nazi to have a big problem with the way the other Nazis are behaving. [huh]

What's the problem?

If these wealthy morons want to make sure Muffy and Buffy get a fake college education by paying some criminal for it, all I can say is not our problem because all they're doing is forking out an outrageous sum of money for their kids to party and have a good time.

It's a simple fact. If your kid's an idiot and you pay millions to ensure he gets a college degree, you're cheating yourself and the kid because at the end of the day you kid's still going to be an idiot and all you did was pay for a piece of parchment.

Now, if these twits had been buying their kids way into an actual institution of higher learning like MIT, Harvard or Yale then that would have been alot more interesting because, this whole scam would have been exposed much earlier. But, since it's a scientific fact that you can't hide stupid in a room full of smart people that was very unlikely to happen. So, these potential rocket scientists are being sent to party schools where the collective IQ of the student body is lower than gnats ass in a crevice.

Thanos @ Tue Mar 12, 2019 8:56 pm

Don't know about MIT or Caltech, because it's hard to with this kind of corruption in STEM institutions; some rich puke's moron son won't get away with it if he can't even do 1+1=2 in a calculus class. You can bet your bottom dollar though that the exact same corrupt thing has been happening for so long at Harvard or Yale it's effectively a college tradition.

Of course he is. Everyone knows that. We knew that when we voted for him. Can you prove that he paid his way out of serving in Vietnam? That sounds like libel to me. Is it against the law to inherit money from your father? He does not have to threaten any school about releasing his grades. There is a federal law (FERPA) that prohibits schools from releasing his grades without his consent. Education records ate NOT public record. The problem is that you spend all your time on this forum bitching about him and other republicans. You paint this picture that they are solely responsible for every bad thing that is going on in the world today. Now that you have some hardcore evidence of law breaking, corruption, and hypocrisy from your left wing buddies.....how about throwing them some shade? How about you give them some equal time in the hot seat?

It IS actual institutions of higher learning, and Yale is one of the schools involved.

This is why the kids needed the help to get in. The schools were not lowering their standards. The schools were being lied to from a high paid hustler and from people on the take working/teaching at the schools.
