dream on, asshole. Of course you'd be "happy", but realities of which country owns what companies that employ canadian workers will rapidly come into play.
After all, market price will drive transactions. You want to sell elsewhere? Who pays freight?
Drink your own piss, sing the Joe Molson rant, and don't think about the fact it's now owned by Coors.
sort of reminds me of this day here...<br />

* "Canadians barrage U.S. children with insults, burn flag as team goes to 'unfriendly territory' <br />
Posted: April 2, 2003<br />
<br />
A road trip for a group of U.S. peewee hockey players to a tournament in Montreal turned into a foray into enemy territory as the boys were barraged with anti-American insults and witnessed protesters trashing the American flag, reports the Globe and Mail. <br />
<br />
The paper said the 11- and 12-year-old boys from Brockton, Mass., had been looking forward to the trip, which soured soon after their "Coach USA" tour bus rolled into downtown Montreal on March 20. <br />
<br />
Hundreds of college students were marching through the streets in an anti-war demonstration and seized upon the bus as a target for its anti-U.S. venom. Several demonstrators made obscene gestures toward the bus, and an American flag was dragged through the street.<br />
<br />
At another demonstration, the Americans watched as a crowd cheered when a protester waved the Iraqi flag, and booed the U.S. flag. Next, the Stars and Stripes were doused with kerosene and ignited. <br />
<br />
"It went up in a puff of smoke and flames, and the crowd went wild. They were all cheering," said parent Bill Carpenter. <br />
<br />
"I said to my kids, 'These folks disagree with our government, not you personally,'" he told the paper. Carpenter's 24-year-old son is a U.S. Marine who was sent to retrieve bodies of Americans killed in the 2001 terrorist bombing of USS Cole in Yemen. He has canceled his family's planned summer vacation to Quebec. <br />
<br />
At the Montreal Canadiens-New York Islanders game at the Montreal Bell Center that night, the U.S. national anthem was widely booed by the crowd, creating confusion for the visiting youngsters. <br />
<br />
Parent David Cruise felt so uncomfortable that he left with his son after the first period. <br />
<br />
"Whether you're for or against the war, we have guys over there dying," he said. "The next time, we'll stay in the States. I'm not going back there again." <br />
<br />
The insults grew personal when the players hit the ice...."They told us we s----, gave us the finger and said 'Down with the U.S.A.' or 'The U.S.A. s----," Nadeau said. <br />
<br />
Making matters worse, the referee chimed in, "I agree with you," following one Canadian player's derogatory comment. <br />
<br />
"We were very offended by the whole thing," said Carpenter. "I understand the opposition to the war. But we were made to feel unwelcome just about anywhere we went. ... As Americans, we felt in the past that Canada was our closest ally and friend. No one told us we were heading into unfriendly territory." <br />

"A year later, the team took their bus back across the border. This time, to the Friendship Hockey Series in Fredericton, New Brunswick.<br />
<br />
When their bus arrived, a welcoming committee of local pewee players was on hand, banging their sticks in welcome.<br />
<br />
Boxers' coach Ernie Nadeau said the reception has been overwhelming.<br />
<br />
"I've gotten thousands and thousands of letters and e-mails regretting what happened to us in Montreal and, to turn the clock back a year, to have the same boys and to experience this tournament it's unbelievable," he told the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal.<br />

caleb is these stories are always canadians acting like jerks towards americans, not the reverse. this was and isn't an isolated incident.
you know what i'm saying is true.
>>I don't remember an official apology when they hung our flag upside down at the world series years ago, then it was 'just a joke' and 'an unfortunate mistake'.<<<
That was an accident, not a deliberate attack on your country and people and yes, there was a letter of regret delivered to your ambassador.
It really shows how deep you have to dig to find a complaint and how lame it is when you finally get there. It also shows that you too are a classless boob for trying to write it off.
>> Well, if a bunch of hockey hooligans act like apes, all Canadians must be apes. <<<
I think it is safe to say that those apes well represent an anti-American mindset that many of you share. This is just a small indication of the demagoguery that you have been fed and the victim complex you love to indulge in.
<blockquote>" are always canadians acting like jerks towards americans, <b>not the reverse.</b> this was and isn't an isolated incident."<br> "you know what i'm saying is true."</blockquote> You make it too easy Don. <p> "The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Saturday that fans booed during the Canadian national anthem before the Thrashers' NHL game against the Ottawa Senators."<p> <a href='http://espn.go.com/nhl/news/2003/0322/1527854.html'>Atlanta</a><p> <a href='http://www.canoe.ca/Slam020423/col_dallacosta-sun.html'>New York</a><p> <a href='http://www.americandaily.com/article/3839'>New Jersey</a><P> So much for your 'never the reverse' theory. No ones' nose is clean here. It happens on both sides of the 49th. And it's never been appropriate.<p> <p>---<br>"If you must kill a man, it costs you nothing to be polite about it." Just a reminder: EVERYONE psoting here is expected to behave like adults, which means treating others with respect. Insults and taunts won't change anyone's mind, and only make you look like the bigger jerk. If you have a point to make, let it stand on its own merits, without the pissing contests. If you don't have a point, then perhaps you shouldn't be posting in the first place. <br />

If you have not yet read our FAQ entry on what we consider unacceptable behaviour, do so NOW. This goes for everyone, not just these particular anons.<br />

Take your little "FAQ entry" and cram it...sideways...
"I think it is safe to say that those apes well represent an anti-American mindset that many of you share"
Not true. That's way too big a leap, to assume that becuase I don't agree with, for example, the US invading Iraq, using depleted uranium, torture, or napalm, that I would act the same as these hockey fans.
Show me the proof that my beliefs on the absolute wrongness of US policy (if war crimes can be so lightly termed as "policy") directly translates into real acts of anti-americanism, like directing my displeasure, at an innocent target. I'll wait for video of me booing, or hurling abuse at some unsuspecting American as payback for the Bush Admin, before I share the blame with anyone else for their actions.
It is my absolute belief that everyone takes responsibility for their own actions, and only answers to that which they have control over.
"Careful what you wish for hillbilly."
Interesting commentary, isn't it? From one of those "polite", "tolerant" (non-bigoted???) people which reside North of the 49th? Yes, we are all aware down here South of the 49th...and it's kind of hard to find a hill around these here parts (y'all)...maybe I'd better move to VanHoover B.C. to find some mounds to climb on and set up my still fo dem corn squeezin's...thanks for the "polite", "tolerant", "multicultural mosaicy", "peaceful", "kind hearted" comments dear neighbors ..."peace" to YOU too, btw...
I wonder why they booooooed. Duh.
"maybe I'd better move to VanHoover B.C. to find some mounds to climb on and set up my still fo dem dere corn squeezin's"
Make that "progressive", "enlightened" VanHoover, B.C. friend ..."peaceful, polite, tolerant" home of the (non-bigoted???) U.S. FLAG BURNING (and Nazi Swastika waving), hate slogan chanting worshippers of Marc Emery and Jackal Layton (anti-American hate parades VanHoover B.C. - June/July 2005)...interestingly enough, the same Jackal Layton who was leading the American flag burnings, anti-American people hate slogan chanting, and (bigoted???) anti-American hate parades in Ottawa in November 2004 (along with Carolyn Parrish)...and, well...it all goes back to Trudeau...whatever...it existed before GWB ever even considered becoming a politician...and it's not like they have EVER been real friends of ours...have they? I'm in my late forties and I can't think of a single time they ever went out of their way to help us when it mattered, or with enough effort (personnel/finances/equipment) to ever "inconvenience" themselves enough to make any real difference for anyone else ina POSITIVE manner...just token bits tossed out here and there when they though it could buy them some political clout or finacial gain. All the talk about "morals" and "principles" coming from north of the 49th are nauseating to say the least. Not since Korea (a U.N. action) have they ever effectively assisted us in any real way. They never have when all that they might accomplish would be to save lives of others. Only when they wanted to curry favor using a small token "effort" in exchange for something greater...like a businessman investing a small amount to make a larger amount (a profit). For Canada it's always been all about the money. Our lives have not ever meant a thing to them. Remeber that Americans...not a thing. They watched us die and cheered as we did many, many times throughout history. And helped the other side covertly behind out backs. That is the "proud" Canadian tradition. That is the "morality" of which they pride themselves. In fact Korea is the ONLY occasion they have ever really put themselves out for us. I should say WITH us, as it was not really for US, but as part of a force mandated by a collective group of nations. They really got cornered into it that time. Bailed on us in the pacific in WWII (and we rescued THEIR POWS captured at Hong Kong in the initial Japanese invasion of the British/Canadian COLONY for them). The booing of children in Montreal, and VanHoover..the hate parades and burning of our flags in Ottawa and VanHoover...and the cheering of anyone who has ever opposed us in ANY fashion (ever since Trudeau) establishes that none of this is new...it's just that the avergae little guy...the average American man, woman, and child is now actually SEEING who and what these vile, hateful people are for the FIRST time as media never payed much attention to Canada/Canadians before (so we all grew up with this false "nice" image of them). Our eyes have been opened. The TRUTH about them is spreading...snowballing...and Canadians will soon be staring South across the 49th at a huge mirror image of their own hatred of the American people...at a ratio of ten to one...enjoy the "view" you created for yourselves Canada. You had such a good deal going. We're sure China will treat you right. As will Iran/Syria/North Korea. Forget America, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Mexico, or any other free world country relying on you as a "friend" or "ally"...or taking your word for anything...you've proven yourselves enough times on the world stage now that EVERYONE knows who and what you are. Enjoy your self-proclaimed "progressive" "enlightened" future (eh), Canada.
"Maybe its time for the U.S. to take a look in the mirror and think long and hard about why they have become the most hated nation in the world"
Wow. Actually it's more appropriately rephrased as "...why they have become the most hated nation in Canada" ...that is REALLY what you are stating here "eh"...as you don't represent anyone but your own small-minded, anti-American, Canadian-nationalist/fascist, hypeventilatingly hateful self in REALITY do you? Didn't think so. So nothing new "eh"...A CANADIAN hates the people of America. Nothing new. But I suppose a new effort at repackaging the agend was commendable "eh"???
a mob is a mob, in any country. If Americans want to judge an entire country based solely on a mob, then that's their own decision, uninformed though it may be. That doesn't mean it's accurate; not all Canadians are drunken hockey fans, jsut as not all Americans are ignorant rednecks. As has been amply proven, there are idiots in both countries, and there is everyone else. If you don't want to be in the 'idiot' category, then I suggest you avoid judging people based on events they weren't even involved in.
