Yes maybe a change, but it seems what ever I brought to this forum would be slamed. I have been there, we are doing good. As stated most women can go out and shop, lil girls now go to school. Teacher teach not only the Quran ,but now math, science, and one school is teaching english. The university will soon be open. Doctors can practice and health is on the way up.
But to some people we are not helping? Now the NDP is on with the 10th Mount patch. It is because the BG there is attached to them. I wore the Brit 8th army patch when I was there. In Kosovo the 2rd Bge and in Bosnia the 7th Army patch. We wear the patch we are attached to. The vandoos in Bosnia for example wore the 1BBR patch a French Bge patch, because they were supported and attached to them.
I also find here the anti American thoughts, I am not a big US fan. And also people compare Iraq with Afganistan, which are two different tours.
So hows that.

"...but it seems what ever I brought to this forum would be slamed."

Kindly, and I emphasize KINDLY, look at the above statement.
Does it not go to presupposition and conjecture?
By the use of the words 'but it seems what ever’ how can your statement be anything other?
Speaking solely for myself I see the writings of an individual so incredibly focused on that which he has been told and the acceptance of it that he cannot conceive of anything other.
In psychological circles this is known as schema or belief , that is those “events” in his stream of consciousness based on attitudes or assumptions (schema) developed from previous experiences.
I feel it is quite safe to make this claim as it is supported by you admission “27 in the military, 9 tours.” And the lists of your experiences as you post them.
While that may be attributes worthy in soldiering those attributes do nothing to advance the condition of man in general.

There can be no question that you believe; there can be however many legitimate question(s) in WHAT you believe with regards to the political chains of event that created the situations in the countries you have "served" in.

I return your, “so hows that” with the above response

Does any one in goverenment or our miltary understand the defence between attack and defence?

What we are doing in Afganistan now is attack the taliban, thats what is wrong, that is what Canadians don not like or want.

We want to help people. How do you help people by attacking and killing their cousin or uncle or brother. If you want to protect them then protect the people. If protection of the people of Afganistan results in Taliban or others getting killed when they attact secured zones or cities then so be it.

We are not attacking, we are peacemaking. In the Congo, we did the same thing in 64. Our troops went and hunted down the rebels. Do you really want our troops just to sit and wait for the Taliban to come to them?
Defence is very anti-moral, defence does not help. Just sitting in camp? What about the out most villages? Don't police officers go out and hunt down criminals? That is what we are doing.
If we don't keep the Taliban off balance, they can plan and hit us harder. That is what they would do, just as we would.

with regard to the Taliban-
3. Dec. 4, 1997 - Representatives of the Taliban are invited guests to the
Texas headquarters of Unocal to negotiate their support for the pipeline.
Subsequent reports will indicate that the negotiations failed, allegedly
because the Taliban wanted too much money. [Source: The BBC, Dec. 4, 1997]

hmmm?
