in fact in the movie it was an overzealous egocentric westerner..( much like the one in ottawa) who sold us out for water... not far from the future reality.. and the vote was fixed through espionage... that was at least the first part... liberal? uh no... smacks of tory all over it..

the polls in the forums are useless, they have been broken for some time, one person can mess it up. The polls will be fixed when the forums are upgraded this spring.

That was very well put
I thought the first part was good. I liked the whole story about election rigging and the phony assassination attempt. I didn't really catch anti-anything vibes, just a good ol' espionage/political thriller!

Well... I finally started to watch this on the DVR.... Even as an American, this seems scary and depressing. However, I did like the American flags flying over parliament...cute.
Yes, scary and depressing. So...... this isn't showing in America except that I had to go to the one Canadian channel that I get on cable. This show was meant for Canadian consumption... for what? To scare the shit out of you?
It started off with this sense of doomed inevitablity. Perhaps the writers are taking a real sense of instability and extending it out... This thing plays like a paranoid Russian enigmatic conspiracy.
We Americans envision Canada as this sleepy, simple place. After not missing an episode of "The Border" (whoa... edgy) and now this... I just have to ask...What is the hell is being slipped into your coffee?
Canada has to be the easiest, most laid back place in the world that has electricity. Well, lets keep it that way.
