Since we have a 'Movies to look forward to' thread, and let's face it, games are really interactive movies nowadays. I thought a thread to discuss upcoming games might be fun. I know we have some gamers here - what are you looking forward to playing?

I know that 'Battlefield 5' will have some details released next week.

I prepurchased this nearly a year ago. I just love the series! Been playing it for . . . 10 years now? Due in August:

   

No Man's Sky is about it for me this year. I already traded in The Divison I was so disappointed and underwhelmed by it.

   

The only games I'm interested in right now are The Invictus Games.

Did you play the Doom beta DrCaleb? 'Cause I did, and I found it totally uninspired.

   

No. I've been feeding my Call of Duty addiction with Black Ops III single player. As recent tests have shown, Alberta and Edmonton have some of the lousiest internet in North America, so lag is a major factor in multiplayer for me. (having a small stroke a few years ago doesn't help either) But single player is just beautiful! All the 'Black Ops' series have just been awesome as far as multiplayer goes, but the lag just kills me.

Bart gets 30ms transit times to Moscow, I get 65 - 80 ms to Los Angeles or Chicago. (major internet amalgamation areas) That usually means by the time I see someone in multiplayer and draw on them, I'm already a corpse and am having dirt shoveled over me.

I knew I was going to play Doom for the single player alone, the multiplayer would be bonus, so I skipped the beta. I've had all the Doom series, even when they came on 3 floppies. I'm not skipping out on this one. It just looks too beautiful!

   

Details are leaking about the new 'Battlefield'. Apparently it will be a series reboot, set in World War 1.

I looks like COD Infitite Warfare will be a flop.

   

Excluding Black Ops III, all CoD titles recently have been flops. Since Black Ops II, I think.

But yea, BF1 does look pretty good. When they said it would be set in WWI, I thought it would involve sitting in a trench for 3 or 4 rounds battling trench foot and hunger before going over the wall to get machine gunned from a German pillbox.

That looks so much better than expectations!

   

   

Finally started Diablo 3.

   

Blizzard is apparently pretty angry at the amount of Overwatch anime porn that's been floating around the Internet before the game is even released.

   

Battlefield 1...the only thing that can be great about this is the return of artillery for the commanders. If they do that.

EA nerfed everything in BF4 to the point that you have to hit someone multiple times with a 30mm auto-cannon in order to kill them.

Now I'm sure with BF1 they'll have it so you can take a 1m mortar on your head and still have 25% life left.
