This post is directed to some of CKA's "newer members." I've been away for a week or so, but I've just returned today to find a large number of posts from "Anonymous", "Dilbert" and "Fuzzyearlobes". I'm sure there's more but I can't be bothered looking them all up.

I've noticed a bit of an anomaly here. We've got "Fuzzyearlobes" who joined only 2 days ago, but he's already got a total of 117 posts, all supporting the Liberals in the coming election! The same goes with all the anonymous posts and Dilbert's.

And here we are in the middle of an election! Man, am I ever surprised that all these frustrated political junkies have suddenly found CKA on the net! WHAT A COINCIDENCE!

The cynic in me would start to think this is part of an orchestrated campaign by the Young Libs. Good thing I'm not a cynic!

Boys, all I can say is, have at 'er. I'm a self admitted hard right bastard whose been doing battle with some true Liberal supporters on this site, like Derby, Avro and Xerxes for the last year or so. I disagree with pretty much everything they ever say, but at least I know they honestly believe in their ideology and have the courage of their convictions. If you political weekend warrior clowns think you've got the skills to come in here and lock horns with the likes of us, then by all means, have fun trying.

But you'll probably find you'll get outargued and berated into silence very quickly. People on this site, left, middle and right are already fairly engaged and don't respond to soundbite messaging. So you can drop the "Harper's on the Payroll of the US Religious Right" crap.

But keep trying. Myself, Ridenrain and 2CDO will have fun shredding all your posts.

P.S. Has anyone noticed that the NDP and Conservatives, as divergent as their political philosophies may be, have the integrity not to revert to this kind of crap?

I smell desperation!

Motorcycleboy, I appreciate your confidence in your own B.S. and I think I have an idea of what it is that you're smelling.

I know they honestly believe in their ideology

Is that supposed to be a good thing or a bad thing?

RUEZ @ Fri Dec 09, 2005 7:04 pm

I don't think being brainwashed is a good thing. It helps them see rainbows and pretty flowers though.

Sorry Delwing, I thought your name was "Dilbert."

Shouldn't you be on another thread equating Harper with Hitler or Slobodan Milosevic, and Layton with Chairman Mao?

Well, if you honestly believe your own ideology when you're wrong, then you have the virtue of being moral, but you're still stupid.

I prefer being right, and morality can take care of itself.

Or, to put it another way, stupidity is the worst moral corruption.

Seriously Shep, as much as I enjoy arguing with, and at times, needling Avro and the boys, I have to be fair and admit they honestly believe in what they say.

You and I have disagreed on occasion, particularly about teachers. We may have gotten fairly heated at times, but I respected your opinion and had no doubt you came by it honestly.

Look at RevBlair. Do you think I could ever agree with anything that guy has to say? But I know he's a true, idealistic NDP'r. He's not some wannbee backroomer whose been enlisted to message the masses.

These new guys are just ringers brought in to do a bit of political messaging. You can see it in their posts. They don't post arguments, per se. They're just sound bites and strategic messages.

That's what's driving all the cynicism in politics today.

Sorry I think you may be confusing me with your friend ridenrain, Heres his post : Did this one get posted yet?

"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration! Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!"
Guess who said it? Paul Martin? Jack Layton?

Nope... it was Adolf Hitler, 1935.

link
of course this was not an original idea, he was just quoting one of you're consevative leaders, nice try though.

Are you back again? I thought I set you straight yesterday. Why is it that every time someone makes a valid point you devolve into some kind of childlike state and start name calling? It does little to strengthen your position.

Can you prove, show, explain, where you set me straight?

Me thinks this is a Liberal talking out of his ass.

Delwin @ Fri Dec 09, 2005 7:36 pm

Too easy...

Does anyone have anything valid to say about the conservative party...

Srry thats an oxymoron... does anyone have anything to say about why they think the conservatives will do a better job then the liberals.
