Meant to post this the other day in honour of the new season starting but I obviously forgot. Anyway....Go Canaucks GO!

If I was the Calgary Flames I'd be worried. Both teams seemed to be much improved from last year.
Yes, because the Oilers starting strong instills fear in the remainder of the NHL....
This shit just ain't funny no more.
You're right, of course. Can't rush to judgement off one game, but did you watch it?
They seemed different to me, and I'm not an Oilers fan. They were tighter. Better defensively. Fewer holes from the bottom six and they were chipping in on offense too. I heard names I didn't used to hear. Better coached, I think. And were you playing that Draisaitl Kassian line last year? Dangerous against the Canucks anyway.
Canucks get Calgary tomorrow. Let's see if they get blown away, and thus my theory, also.

In and out. I didn't get the chance to watch the whole game. Saw up until it was tied 1-1 in the second and the final win, but did not see McJesus score.

I am so jaded with them that I want to say I can find a similar statement (from Edmonton media) for close to the last decade.

I am certainly hoping that this is a reflection of some kind of change in the organization. Hopefully past the coaches.
I am pretty sure that Drai and K got stapled together for the second half of last season. I am not certain of this though, not gonna lie, had tapped out of the season at that point. K may have been with RNH quite a bit as well.
Your new goaltender was playing like he prefers the north. Looked good.

Go Canucks Go!
Good game to see in a pub. Lots to cheer about. Starting with the new captain.

It sure was!
I was not surprised by Horvat being named captain. I'm sure he'll do well.

I'm not a Canucks fan but I did make this observation. The only problem with Bo being named Captain was the fact that the Canucks allowed him to be interviewed about being Captain before they made the official announcement.
It definitely took away some of the drama and was in my opinion a slight and bad start to his tenure. If you're going to make an announcement a big deal at least try and keep the drama to a maximum.
They were saying Bo as captain of the Canucks was the worst kept secret in town.

It was and the only people who didn't know were the ones who've taken to living in tents on Burnaby Mountain while eschewing technology.

A pretty good game by the Canucks tonight defeating Philly 3-2 in the SO.

A solid win tonight for the Canucks over Detroit.
Tampa Bay Game was on last night. Had it playing in the background as I did some house work. That's one of the things I love about hockey even if I have no interest in the game its still awesome to half listen to while I'm busy with other things.
