Wish I could have got into Canucker's league too...just too busy at the time. That's why I got off to such a bad start with this one too. I missed the draft and missed changing and setting up my players for a week or so into the season. I can't complain that much.....I went from the bottom all the way to #3.

Regina @ Fri Apr 06, 2007 6:06 pm

So will Haywood come out for a season ending recap??

Wannabe @ Sun Apr 08, 2007 12:27 pm

Apparently Haywood Jablome has already spoken:

A short time ago, Twister posted this in the League messages; "I have to stay ahead of sens 07 and try to make up ground on Apache.. so i have to get as many players as I can who are hot streaks..lol and ride them I had a couple of bad injuries.. thoughbreds were luck they caught lakeshore early.. and he didn;t have Sid the kid or some of his main guns go down this year for an extended period,,"

Look, Twister. I know you're hungover and are pretty pissed about having to tattoo that Leafs logo on your avatar for the summer, not to mention your disappointment at a pathetic fantasy season after all your shit talking this past fall. There is something to be said for losing with dignity and humility, a trait you'll hopefully develop over time. Regardless, both instances are a consequence of your inability to match your mouth with results. You didn't put up... so shut up. It's that simple. Quit while you're ahead (or behind).

Spin the results any way you like, the fact is the Thoroughbreds kicked your ass throroughly. Looking back, I'm glad you singled me out and came after me with your hot air right after the draft; it was motivation enough to teach you a lesson in humiliation, one you apparently have not learned. So, before you wait until the end of the Devils-Islanders game to take a few more pot shots at the expense of my beloved Leafs and look like even more of a sore loser, remember that you had your ass handed to you by two Toronto fans (highfives Ripcat; very nicely played sir).

Beyond my last "smack talk" in the league, "Great Season, Everyone! Looking forward to next year," I was not going to offer any more banter regarding my status as League Champion, but you've opened the door for me to ask you a question in closing; How Bad Do You Look Right Now? Just shut up and lose gracefully like a big boy.

Maybe I should.. nah.....wow you won .... Whatever dude.

Congratulation to the Thoroughbreds on the CKAHL title crown for 2006 2007...

You caught lakeshore at the half way pole and didn't look back - good job, good picks, good trade and good selections. Luck plays a part in all this yes.. but you made good solid selections all season and dumped players when the got hurt and replaced them with guys who panned out.. yes wannabe you were the Master this year and I was but a humble student..

Glad the proverbial ass kicking is now over.. guess Some people are senesitive about the brovado.. okay fine next year no bravado..jeez... No swagger, no chest beating.. no machismo.. whatever.. guess you should run for mayor here in vancouver.....

Congrats to everyone on your finishing places// T--breds in first lakeshore wave.. hey Rip Cat thats two years in 2nd great consistency.. Regina makes his way to third. canucker finishes strong in forth. The bootlegga kicks in at 5th and apache holds on to Sixth with Twisters 7th, sens 07 in 8th, destroyers in 9th xxx in 10th and pooper scopper following the parade in 11th... with our two empty teams sitting 12 and 13.. Oh well see you all at the end of september.

Congrats again on the win wannabe...

WHAT changes do you all want to see to the scoring system I know there were a few that got thier noses bent out of shape.. so oh well..

Thanks! It should be a wild ride next year. Have a great summer everybody!

Regina @ Mon Apr 09, 2007 7:14 am

The only change I'd like to see is the an draft for everyone at the start of the season. Trying to coordinate a time where people from multiple time zones is hard and the draft takes too long.

Great year guys and girl.

Just goes to show my guys can shoot........but they can't score.

canucker @ Mon Apr 09, 2007 4:09 pm

Congratulations Wannabe, way to trample the rest of us! Also kudos to Ripcat and Regina for strong finishes and tough competition, especially Regina, can't believe you moved up the ranks so quickly (and passing me along the way)!

Regina @ Mon Apr 09, 2007 6:10 pm

Thanks Canucker. You were the only one I was worried about and I though for sure you'd catch me.
My only regret was that I wasn't around in time to get into your hockey pool as well. It's different and it's fun.

Well we'll make a point of getting you drafted in my league next season. You should of been in it this season, I tried to make the draft time and date acceptable for all time zones but you may have been travelling or something that date... I can't remember.

Regina @ Tue Apr 10, 2007 12:35 am

Yeah I was on the road for it and missed signing up, then missed a bunch of days setting up my team for games too. Better time management skills next year.
