Now that I have a bit of time to look after my team............I seem to have moved up a couple spots. 8O

Wannabe @ Mon Dec 18, 2006 7:36 am

So, if I win do I get nominated for a Hockey Nut medal? :)

Regina @ Mon Dec 18, 2006 8:32 am

We'll see...........it's a loooooong season. At least I hope it's long enough to catch the #1 spot.

Watch out for Gunny's Dispersal Draft this first week of 2007. It should be very helpful to those in the lower rankings.

All the information is under "Recent Messages".

I don't think you should quit, Gunner, but it's your decision. Sorry you had to go.

Wannabe @ Sat Dec 30, 2006 7:14 am

Likewise, Gunner. Sorry to see you go. :(

Wannabe Wannabe:
Likewise, Gunner. Sorry to see you go. :(

well as i've mentioned already. i'm involved in two other pools. i'll concentrate my effort on those.

fwiw:
- a "gunner" is someone who fires the weapon
- a "gunny" is someone who makes sure the weapon can be fired and that you have rounds to fire. and when you're shooting at paper targets, he's also sometimes the guy with a glock 9,... making sure you don't forget which way is "down range". ;)

Note to the Commish:

you could leave my team intact and,
a. use it to encourage "new blood" into the league, or
b. 'award' it to one of the lower ranked teams (if they so desire) and use their former team to enlist "new blood"

just a suggest, to avoid the mess of a dispersal draft.

Thanks GunP.. but you have players that could be of some use so here it is... By Jan 7th.
Get me a list in decending order of the players you want 2 players per team. Starting with the destroyers and ending with the Tbreds.

Choose the two players you wish to lose off your roster.. I'll make those changes to everyones rosters once they are clarified with everyone. Those players will be placed on gunny's team and then replaced with N/A players in the game as Boss Dog's team is the IR's.

Gunny's Dispersal Draft....

The following will take place in the first week of the new year by Jan 7th.

8. Gunny's Lame Ducks 1979. Will be dispersed in this order:

Each team will have the opportunity to request 2 players of Gunny's squad by Email to Me the commish at [email protected] If you do not wish to be part of the dispersal draft e mail me as well.

12. The Destroyers 1859.will have the first selection of 2
11. Pooper Scoopers 1864.
10. Sens in 07 1901.
9. xXx 1976.
7. Twisters 2025.
6. Bootlegga 2071
5. Regina 2088

Won't that depend on which kind of players you are able to get? I don't want anyone messing with my team, I won't be able to get anyone good anyways. I basically only want Pronger.

twister @ Sun Dec 31, 2006 12:45 am

then how should we do a dispersal draft... I think a dispersal is fairer than BossDogs' leaving.. there are 21 player Rostered on Gunny's team we are at the mid point of the season.....

I put it out to all the teams in the league by Jan 5th tell we what you want.

Option A: leave everything as is. League assumes control of Gunny's team.

Option B: Dispersal draft according to the draft order at the start of the season. One player at a time.

Option C Dispersal draft in accordance with the way teams are lined up now.. Each team selects 1 player at a time

Option D Dispersal draft with 2 players selected per team 2 drops per team. In line with the way teams sit ( this was the original option I gave You)

canucker @ Sun Dec 31, 2006 12:10 pm

It's up to you, I say option C. I just can't tell you which players I'd get rid of ahead of time because it would depend on which player (or player's position really) that I got.

n0rthern @ Sun Dec 31, 2006 10:51 pm

option C please

edit: and happy new year all [BB]

twister @ Mon Jan 01, 2007 2:05 am

Okay the Majority of people have spoken it will be:

Option C
1 player done per team .... live right here on the Forum boards right here at CKA. now we just need to pick a time that works best for everyone concerned

Happy New Year everybody!

I'm assuming a weekend date for a dispersal draft would work best for everyone, so I'll throw the first idea out there;

Sunday, January 6 ???

p.s. n0rthern, is that Josie Maran on your avatar?
