So...If I'm trying to tell a chinese person not to go passed a certain point with the first phrase/expression, they should understand?

   

Chicken -> Poulet -> Pooh leh

Star -> Étoile -> Ay toe ahl

   

you'd better go with the second one. Literally it means "entrance is stricktly prohibited", although it's not very conversational and mostly written on the doors or smth like that. The first one is "access is sticktly prohibited"
the third one: "enter inside is stricktly prohibited"
the fourth: "restrickted (forbidden) zone"
But they should understand it no doubt! well... if he/she speaks Mandarin of cause there is also one more problem: the tones. Meaning changes depending on the tone. But normally if they see a "laowai" (foreigner) trying to tell something not very clear they try their best to guess.
If you want to know more conversational just ask.

there is no stresses in Chinese, but they put slight accent eventually
in this phrase accent the last syllable

Actually, yes. They are usually the ones to wander where they're not suppose to...And they tend to act like they didn't know when you tell them they can't access a certain place...Nothing against them, just an observation.

...So...do you pronounce the "j" at all or does it end more like tsyuy?? Sorry, not trying to complicate things. I just like to speak well when communicating with someone.

1. memorize those words.....

Tabarnak ----Ta-bar-nak
Kaliss --------Ka-liss
Esti ---------- S-ti or sti
Kriss--------- kriss (not like pronouncing christ in jesus christ)
pronounciation for a french i = pronounciation for an english e

Sacrament--- Sa-cra-ment ---

The `men ` part is like a quiet n----you say the men of sacramen like you pronounce the ban from taliban so it goes like sa-cram-an


Now that you know the basics, you have to know that using them is more complex than in english because you can't use them all the time.

1. You can describe someone with our words all the words above except kaliss than can only be used in a combination...

Example : Le tabarnak... Le sacrament...Le kriss....L' esti

1.1 Although you can say ''Toi mon esti'' or even ''Toi mon kaliss'' it sounds weird and its almost never used without another insult after. Nevertheless, it becomes casual with a well chosen insult after

Example : Le kaliss de chien sale...... ( The (swear) dirty dog??? )
Example 2: L'esti de trou de cul ( The (swear) asshole )

2.Our swears can be used when you do soemthing dumb or a mistake...Some of them are more powerful than others though...

Minor things (i.e Droping your pencil
---- Esti, Shit, fuck
Medium things (i.e Forgot a homework worth 10%)
-----Kaliss, Sacrament, Tabarnak
+ all that are suitable for minor things but louder
Major thing (someone wrecked your parked car)
---- Tabarnak d'esti de kaliss, le sacrament a scrapper mon char.


3. Mixes
In french you can mix swears but not in everyway or you will sound like an immigrant. There`s no rule, it`s like irregular verbs; you got to learn em.
Here`s a few examples of what can and cannot be said in Montreal because in the other places in the province they dare to call cities it can be dfferent...

Tabarnak d'esti de (something) = Good
Tabarnak de kriss de (something) = Average
L'esti de tabarnak = Good
Esti de kriss = average

4. Double mixes

I like to mix french and english because fuck can be used as an adjetive

esti de fucking trou de cul....
kriss de asshole
fucking fils de pute ----- fils de pute = son of a bitch
