Why don't you back this up, DerbyX? I mean, maybe you're right but how did you come to the conclusion that to be Christian, you just had to believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God?

I just draw conclusions from the myriad personal details Lily decides to post on here in her vain search for the friendships she lacks offline. Say, weren't YOU supposed to meet her?
Moreover, if somebody on here is going to simply DECLARE who is a Christian and who isn't, the onus is on them to ground that decision in good theology. Like with, say, biblical passages. I can't help it if your new found friend is poorly read, intellectually stunted and has a difficult time understanding how irresponsible she is to search for her ideals in historical contexts rather than let objective historical facts suggest conclusions.
Simply put, Hitler was a Christian. A shitty Christian, a bastard of a human, but a Christian none-the-less. If jobless Lily wants to challenge that, tell us what DOES make somebody a Christian. And something more than "actions + belief". It's vague and it's part of what constitutes her intellectual stuntedness.
Otherwise, way to nail this one Canucker.

If you read what she is saying, she can invalidate any connection based soley on her word that "they did not follow" Xtian teachings (as she alone sees them) and therefore were not Xtian.

I know – that’s why I offered that historical list as an illustration of the complexity of simply labelling people as "non-Christian” (most historians see the past as a little more complex than this current ahistorical bunk). I’d still be interested in seeing some of these Christian-apologists attempt to tackle that former rhetorical question sequence, but since that would involve true historical understanding and an adherence to academic protocols, I won’t hold my breath.

The defintion of Xtian is actually in the bible. New Testament (Acts 11:26; 26:28; 1 Pet. 4:16).

BTW, Hitler did believe he was doing just that. The muslim extremists feel they are doing just that. Every atrcoity in history committed in the name of god has been done by people who believed absolutely that they were doing the work of god.
