I must say I most assuredly enjoyed whitehouse.com. Been LMAO on whitehouse.org. It's funny Bush hasnt censured it. It has some pretty good sarcastic wit about it. I liked the article about him thanking the Brits for his visit.

I decided to apply for the tour of the whitehouse in the form it asked why I wanted to go to the whitehouse I replied because I am Canadian. 10 seconds later this repliy came back. I quote ''We are soory ,but based on classiefied personal information in our govt file. You have been deemed inelligible for accseing the whitehouse. If you believe this assesment is in error, you may file a formal requiest for proof of patriotism(form#299153-b from your whitehouse congressman. That site is too funny.
I know this is in jest but I wonder if the white house does not do things like screen people who want to tour it. I think that would really be beyound paranoia.
They pretty much screen everybody all the time now, Blubs. The terrorists win the second "democratic" leaders begin distrusting their voters. What I can't figure out is why, if our western theories of why it happened even aproach reality, why those planes crashed.
Everytime I say something like that, a black Ford drives by my house. Go figure....
You know Rev every time I read about what the Us govt is doing I think, Well people will hate me for saying this communism. I believe this paranoia with terrorism the states have is kinda getting outta hand.
It used to be before I joined CKA I really did not like Americans. Now I really feel bad for them and the things that they have to put up with with their govt. I think us Canadians are very lucky. Mind you there is some things we dont like about our govt but at least we can speak our mind with out being called a subversive person.
Dang I hope it aint the same black ford that drives by mind. Personally I think you have become a bad influence on me cause I am questioning things a lot more now.Damn.
Some will hate you, Blubs. They'll call you all sorts of names and make vague threats. You'll be getting tired of it and about to quit, thinking nobody is listening. Then a stranger, somebody you never even knew existed, sends you an e-mail urging you to keep speaking out because they don't feel they can.
That's what really wrong with the US right now...people are afraid to speak out. They fear for their jobs or how their kids will be treated at school. Sometimes they fear for their safety.
There, You see , communism, I f a person or persons are too afraid of the govt something has got to give. I just dont get it with the population the states have there has got to be some people with the presence of mind to speak up. Seems to me the people are waiting for the govt to tell them what to do. Then even if they know it is wrong they will do it. just like pupets. SPEAK AMERICANS if Bush dont like what you have to say come to Canada. At least we get along for the most part.
One thing about me Rev I am no quitter. I am sorta like a dawg knawing on a bone. I finish what I start no matter how long it takes. However the more I read about Bush the more questions I have that really cant be answered.

What's Bush up to ? It seems Michael Moore fairly accurately described it all in a nutshell. Bush is a product of priviledge, and likely doesn't know very much outside of his world. Many of the people in his administration come from similar backgrounds and ideaology.Bush and Co. were certainly devastated by 9/11 , but they are stalling the investigations because it's very likely they made serious mistakes leading up to it, and they are worried about the political fall-out. Bush also probably sees 9/11 as something he and his gang can use to their advantage. They are all basically out of touch with what's going on in this country, and relate almost entirely to their campaign funders - who are people of the same economic and idealogical background. Most of you know about the project for a new American century (PNAC) ,along with that and things like the patriot act, and a preemptive invasion of a country which posed no real threat - then changing the justification for it to " Regime change ", means this ain't George Washington's America any more.
The problem with this country has been our short term and biased foreign policy -it causes much more suffering and ill will than good.I don't care what anyone says - American foreign policy is hypocritical if you judge it by what we are supposed to stand for as a nation. If you want to judge it by another standard - then call it that. Anything less is hypocritical. And I don't care what other countries do - I expect China and North Korea, and Iran, and a dozen other dictatorships to behave the way they do.Right now - it's the least of our problems -the U.S. needs to clean it's own house. We need to have a "field day" - that's Navy slang for DEEP CLEANING. I'm more concerned with Americans getting universal health care than Iraqis, I'd like to see this country take better care of it's seniors and Veterans before spending another fucking dime on nuclear bunker busters. How's about 87 Billion going to the AIDS crisis in Africa - If we are going to spend money overseas ? - Oh sorry , I forgot - Africans are black and they aren't a priority - and of course we still have a race problem here in the land of "All men are created equal".
Well blubs , the worst part of it for me, and the hopeless part is ultimately the society in which I live. I just don't see it changing - you know ; "Fat , dumb, And happy".We , as a people just don't seem to care about each other anymore, and civilized behaviour has taken a back seat to the immediate wants of the individual. And it's not Bush's fault, this nation has been deteriorating for a long time and I honestly don't see it changing. As I traveled to various states for my old telcom job after 9/11 , I had thought the attacks were going to alter us fundamentally as a people. I was wrong , most of us haven't learned a fucking thing, and America is back to business as usual. The direction is steering towards an ever widening gap between the haves and the have nots - and guess who wields the power ? Aside from a small fraction of the population , people basically don't care, and/or have resigned themselves to the inevitable downward slide. It's kinda like the ending of the third Terminator movie - we are destined to destroy ourselves , and that's the only way we are going to learn.
My interest in Canada , aside from Twila , stems from my discovery that there are alot of good, decent , and intelligent people up there. And in many ways ,(some of your politicians aside) - your nation is alot closer to what America was and is supposed to be. I've learned from friends up there that you have your share of pig fuckers and assorted bad people. However , by and large , your country is populated by a great many friendly and smart people, and that's important for any society - it means it'll hold together. By and large , you seem to have your priorities straight as a country. Plus you got lot's o' Scottish folks up there ,and I love the Scots (cause I am one). We have some very decent people down here too, but they are outnumbered considerably and they don't make policy - and of course Paul Wellstone is dead so the future is kinda bleak.
It's been questioned on this site as to what Canada might be like if it had a much larger population, military, and economy.Would your country be more like the U.S. ? - I don't know myself , I hope not. It's up to you as a people to make your country what you want it to be. Your politicians and leaders come from your ranks,so make sure they act in the best interests of everybody, and not just their financial contributors. You Canucks seem to have more hope in that area than us yanks do because you seem to be much better informed about the big picture , instead of just each individual's immediate concerns. And learn from America's mistakes - don't be content to define yourselves by being "not American" , because that's just silly in my view. Canada is a distinct nation with much to be proud of , and a young country - and it's good to be YOUNG !
Well , I might just submit this post in my application for citizenship ( minus the profanity ) , and I suppose I'll have to explain what a " Twila " is.
Well first off Twila must be blushing Secondly that was a great post Buford I wasnt thinking about Bush being from a priveledged family. I should of thought about that. People born with a silver spoon in their mouth just do not think like the average man.
Boy if your govt spent all the money they are spending on this war. On things like health care and looking after the seniors. You guys would really be the eny of the world. Yup I think the US govt should clean house big time find out what their priorities really are. Cant George see that? If he did that he would be one hell of a popular Presedent.
Isnt that what the U.N is about trying to keep peace by using common sense. If Bush would leave the U.N to do its job properly maybe we would not have to go to war.
Used to be I hated the American people with a passion, but ya know what it was the govt I hated. And their foriegn policy So I do aplogise to the U.S people. I do admit some sure do ask silly questions.
I, sometimes, cannot see the difference between your brand of democracy and socialism. Because it seems to me both forms of govt dictate to the people. Isnt there somewhere in your constitution that says "govt is supposed to be for the people and by the people" or something like that. So where did the govt sway from that phrase.
Well Buford there are a lot od decent intelligent people in the states but are too afraid to speak up or else" big brother" will come knocking on your door cant blame them for that
As for your aplication for citizenship Canada would be nuts not to let ya in. But I can see your point about explaining what a " Twila " is.
Blush?, Hell I just invented a new shade of red!!!!
So, Electric, you say your a scot. How do you look in a quilt?
I have quite the obsession for Scots, and men in quilts in general.
Twila I really hope you meant kilt cause seeing Buford in a quilt well, Brrrrrrr.
Well, I suppose I'd look good ON a quilt. As for a KILT - I don't have one , but I've got the legs for it ,and my legs ironically were inherited from my father's side of the family - which is from French & German decent. Well Twila , I suppose I'd look my best curled up in your lap -such a good, loyal pet I'd be .Anyway , back to the thread : George Bush is still an ignorant chimpanzee. (no offense intended to decent, hard -working chimps).
Sort of , if you refer to my earlier rant :
