Not really. They kill each other more than anybody else.

But not nearly fast enough to make a difference for the rest of humanity. [B-o]

Islam is a religion of peace, they really have no issue with Christians, I challenge you guys who say its a violent and uncouth religion to actually go out and talk to a Muslim and get the facts from them, and not fox news for once. I leave you with a quote from the Koran,

Surah 2:62
[2:62] Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord. They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.

You should qualify your statement with MOST Muslims don't have a problem with Christians and Jews, as people. Islam as a religion has serious issues with Judaism and Jews. Christians get a little slack, because they sheltered the first Muslims who fled from the pagan Arabs.

Actions speak louder than words. There is a significant number of Muslims who very much have a problem with Christians and Jews - eg 9/11. Then there's a significant number who support them - ie dancing in the streets after 9/11, calling for the death of Danish cartoonists, etc etc.

And then there's the silent majority (if indeed it is a majority). As long as they remain silent, I'll count them with the groups mentioned above. Either step up and roundly condemn Islamic terrorism or be counted among the enemy.

And what about the secularist infidel dogs ?

Obviously, if God isnt in politics and law, we must not be
believers, and we must fear.

Who decides who is/isnt a Christian or Jew ?

I know at least 10 Muslims and none of them have an issue with Christians. I don't know where you are getting your numbers from but I think the vast majority of Muslims are very good, decent and hardworking people.

I had 2 muslim roommates. They didn't mind all the things in the Coran. They were drinking and smoking pot like usual young persons.

But the two had very strong anti-american and anti-semitic feelings, even if they were from Morocco and Algeria. We could not talk about politics because they had very anti-Western feelings and they thought that 9/11 was a good thing, etc, etc. All the friends they brought in had the same feelings.

Now, Gunnair will call me a racist but that's what I've lived and seen.

You are a racist.

But the attitude you talk about is common. Many of the western jihadis being caught are like that. They life like western kids, but the hatred festers inside, until it erupts. Our TO 18 were like that, the NY Times Square bomber was like that, that psychiatrist in Texas, etc etc. That's why I don't put that much stock in words, often they seem to just be a cover for the hatred smoldering inside.

If your friends hated the west so much, wtf were they doing here?

Maybe those 2 and their friends do think that way, but ALL the Dutch muslims I have met, were all appalled when 9/11 happened. They were shocked, they were pissed, they thought it was a disgrace to Islam, and to the world. There is none that I talked to that condoned it.

Brenda @ Sat Aug 14, 2010 1:30 pm

Ironic detail, btw... The end of Ramadan is at 9/11 this year...

Any of them get out and demonstrate against what was being done in the name of their religion?

As far as I recall, there have been a few demonstrations against it, and I am sure there were plenty of muslims there. If any of my acqaintances were there, I couldn't tell.
But, Proc said that there was no way they could talk about religion or politics. I do not have that experience.

There are decent Muslims around, I know some myself. They get quiet tho when I suggest that their outrage at their fellow Muslims should be expressed more openly. I must say I don't trust any Muslim completely anymore - too many seemed to have been well integrated here, only to later turn on us. I'm sure most Muslims are well meaning, but nuances get lost when things get this crazy.
