Oh listen to your crap. Some unimportant country slaps us in the face and you want to go to war, yet the c-u-n-t to the south threatens hundreds of times to fuck canada over and you've got your tongues up his ass.

llama66 @ Tue Aug 07, 2018 11:00 am

The dork to the south never tweeted an image of a plane flying toward the Toronto Skyline with the words "Sticking ones nose where it doesn't belong" .

There is a stark difference between tweeting the normal madness of Trump and tweeting that a plane is going to fly into a Canadian landmark.

Strutz @ Tue Aug 07, 2018 11:58 am

That image was terrible to use even IF it wasn't meant as a serious threat.

The person that created it and posted it either wasn't thinking it through or, even worse, was.

The dork to the south never tweeted an image of a plane flying toward the Toronto Skyline with the words "Sticking ones nose where it doesn't belong"

and neither did the Saudi gov't. So quit pretending they threatened us.

And fix this fucking word filter. How come I can type asshole and it doesn't modify it, but it by default doesn't allow c-u-n-t?
Because PhpBB is American written and they don't understand the Queen's English? They think it's only a crude word for female genitalia and not a common insult?
Like we (still) see half the time Hillary gets mentioned?
As in "American right is so stunned they couldn't bring themselves to vote for a bitch and elected a genuine c-u-n-t instead?"

The government (BSKSA) operates almost all domestic broadcasting outlets in Saudi Arabia.

Awkward.

...and why not? A threat like that is an act of war.

It really can be seen that way. Too bad little potato will be the spineless PM we've come to expect.

It's not the PM buying oil, it's the market. And the market buys oil from Saudi Arabia and the market decides it doesn't want to build refineries here. Isn't it you conservative types always whinging that the government should stay out of the marketplace. But if it doesn't suit you, then all of a sudden the PM is spineless.

llama66 @ Tue Aug 07, 2018 12:35 pm

No I think him spineless because he'll blather and blunder his way through this all while trying not to offend anyone. Nothing to do with oil.

They appear to be connected to the Saudi government. It's time for that vile dynasty to come to a violent end.

Do the Arabs do guillotines?

Saudis are emboldened by Americans and vice versa. Hence the confidence and aggression

I also think often Saudis overreact much...They should be not that aggressive.

Well, I would tend to agree then.

hmm...Shame on them if they were really trying to signal 9/11 type of attack.

Good thing is they apologized. I hope that their intention was not bad

No need to get carried away...Youth these days, everywhere, are morons, I know it because I am part of it. Emotional patriots...Idiots

The head of State (AKA The Crown Prince or King) has not apologised to Canada. It was an organisation that *may* be connected with State media.

How the intention be anything but bad when you combine a threat with imagery reminiscent of 9/11?

We're not the ones getting carried away, I mean no one is proposing we use suicide moose attacks in Al Riyadh.

The're the ones self escalating.

I hope you guys sort this out nicely. Saudis did a lot of reforms recently within the country...Don't know how much media is free over there

Saudis, government and public, should tone it down a little bit...They act very childish. If I remember correctly, Saudis or Arabs are also criticizing that organization who posted that pic.

If we're going to talk about what dicks the house of Saud is then maybe we'd better discuss the assholes who do business with them.

And if anyone guessed the Irving's you're right. It's the Irving's that are likely the biggest reason we didn't build the pipeline east. These bastions of Canadianism have publicly stated that even if the pipeline east were to be built they'd still be using Saudi and American oil shipped vial rail and ship because they like diversity.

https://business.financialpost.com/comm ... goes-ahead

So, there's not really much point building a pipeline to supply Canada's largest refinery if it isn't going to use your product and would prefer to keep subsidizing a despotic cult of family that sponsors terrorism world wide.

The only real way this or any Gov't could get the Irving's to buy Canadian would be to take away their status as one of Canada's largest corporate welfare bums and good luck with that.

Creepy, innit? Saudi Arabia (and their close AlQaeda allies) and Putin's Russia are America's friends and Canada is now her enemy.

The World is just one coronary away from returning to normal (one hopes).

Saudi state television also reported Sunday that the Education Ministry was coming up with an "urgent plan" to move thousands of Saudi scholarship students out of Canadian schools to take classes in other countries.
By recalling all students, King Kong of Sod can weed out any youngsters with bright ideas or who otherwise break curfew.

$1:
Omar says last year, while chatting with colleagues at work, he made a comment that was critical of the conflict in Yemen.
He didn't know one of his colleagues was working with a Saudi intelligence agency. Once flagged to the agency, Omar's comments drew scrutiny.

bootlegga bootlegga:
I'd like to see some conversation about Energy East, but that's dead as a doornail, because there so many hippies down east who have been brainwashed into thinking bitumen is pure evil.

If by 'down east' you mean the Atlantic provinces, they had no problem with Energy East. Ontario was making some noises, although with the PCs in that won't be a problem. The real problem was Quebec and its virtue signaling, rabble rousing mayor (now ex-mayor). As soon as it looked like Quebec was opposed Trudeau deep sixed the project.
