Why Are We Rescuing These "Canadians?"
Citizenscam
And if and when the first So-Called Canadian found fighting or killed with the terrorists will open a shitstorm of discussion in Canada to who and why we let certain people in Canada.
There are good people that come to Canada but when terrorist’s supporters are using our country as a convenience the door will close very fast.

Renounce your British citizenship.
Tell me how to do it?
I'm interested.
Pop down to your nearest british embassy/consulate and ask to do so.
Actually I contacted the High Commission in Ottawa.
I was advised that a British Citizen born in the UK cannot in the UK's eyes, renounce their citizenship.
Whether you have a UK passport or not, you are considered a UK citizen until you die or an Act of Parliament strips a person of citizen for a serious indictable offence against the state such as treason.
I'll just leave it at not renewing my passport or driving licence. It appears all I can do beside commit treason. I'll leave that kind of conduct for those who support Hezbollah.
Reading the news papers and watching TV there is a few more people who are questioning the "citizens of convenience" who expect Canada to extract them at the drop of a hat, all 50,000 'tourists'.
Is that the best you apologists for terrorists can do? Demand I renounce my citizenship?
I committed the big taboo in Canada, questioning our lax immigration and citizenship program. Ooooeeer......that bad eyebrock!
I can't believe some of you people think its ok for plastic Canadians, many of whom claimed refugee status to get in here, to praise Hezbollah and demand a country they don't even live in to get them out when the shit hits the fan.
I even saw that Liberal MP Jim Karygiannis was questioning the fact that families were split up because citizens got priority over landed immigrants.
So they bloody well should. Maybe the landed immigrants should have stayed the 3 years and completed the very hard 20 question tick test.
Keep on cheering the terrorists guys.
Oh those awful people. How dare they flee their homeland which was in the middle of a war 20 years ago. And how dare they go and visit their families.
And would you get off that Hezbollah loving bullshit already. No one here is going "Yay Hezbollah" and you bloody well know that. And just because some old bint praised Hezbollah, that means every one from Lebanon supports them? Then that must mean everyone in Idaho is a white-supremacist.

You are correct Eyebrock. Once a limmey, always a limmey....Except Conrad Black!
And I for one totally understand you point about these so called "Canadian citizens" telling us that we owe them a rescue. Fuck them. I think they deserve a nuclear warhead before they get safe passage out of that shithole. Only a total idiot would be anywhere near the Middle East right now and consider it a vacation spot.
In my mind, these assholes deserve nothing form Canada. They showed up, answered the fucked up questions, and then expected total support because they know damn well the Liberal Government was so stupid as to provide it in the small print. Another P.E.T. fuck up...Language law was the first fuck up.
So in conclusion...Nuke them all and let them glow. They made their bed, let them die in it. WE OWE THEM NOTHING.

you make it sound like no one else in the middle east has one, FACE IT, you know nothing about Military strength because when it comes down to it, as soon as Israel decides to get out of its technological hiding hole it will be blasted to smitherens by the Hezbollah and Hamas troops and if it dares attack Syria then it'll be outnumbered in manpower more then 2:1.

If that is where they are from, it stands to reason that they would probably have a lot of family over there. You don't think there's a chance that a number of those folks ARE in fact on vacation visiting family?
That's what I do with every ounce of vacation time I'm afforded. Fly back to Canda and make the rounds. And who the fuck in their right mind considers south west Saskatchewan a vacation spot????

You need to brush up on foreign affairs Mr Togger Player.
Checkout the Foriegn Affairs Canada web site that has travel advisories going back three years, advising that Lebanon was unstable.
Three years is a pretty good heads-up.
Sorry logic and the rule of law doesn't jive with your lefty ideals.
Some of you guys might as well shout "Yay Hezbollah" , your doing a fine job of defending them and villifying Israel.

The difference between Saskatchewan and Lebanon is that the Federal Government doesn't have a travel advisory on Sask right now.
Prior to 12th July 2006 there were postings warning Canadians of the perilous state that Lebanon was in.
An extract:
$1:
Heightened tensions throughout the region, together with increased threats globally from terrorism, put Canadians at greater risk. Canadians should be aware of the global risk of indiscriminate terrorist attacks, including those against civilian targets, such as pedestrian promenades, shopping malls, open markets, restaurants, discotheques, cinemas, and other places frequented by foreigners. Canadians should maintain a high level of personal security awareness at all times, as the security situation could deteriorate rapidly without notice.
Says it all really eh?
But still 50,000 "Canadians" went for a spot of holiday making there eh?
They have to take some responsiblity for their actions in going to a trouble spot like Lebanon, instead you would think it was the Canadian government's fault from the media reports and you terror apologists.
I guess we need to get used to the fact that the concept of citizenship is now complex.
As for myself, I was born American, will die American, and there will never be daylight between me and my country. However, the reality is that folks can move across the globe with ease now, a situation that has changed radically in my lifetime. And, we need new answers for managing a peripatic global population.
Each nation needs to do what is in it's national interests. The decision to pick up Canadian passport holders needs to be evaluated in terms of Canadian national interest. I think it would be in Canada's interest to get good press by making a reasonable effort to look after it's passport holders. However, the best protection for a citizen is within their own country. If I travel Colombia and am captured by kidnappers, I would be greatful if my country rescued me, but I couldn't ask someone to risk their life doing it. As a matter of fact, I would be deeply grieved if another American lost their life for me. However it might be in our national interest to make sure that someone is not mistreated simply because they are "American" - that issue is bigger than any individual.
Americans are fortunate in that we have a large military with a global presence. So we happen to see a lot of rescues. Also, a non-citizen can serve in the American Armed Forces and receive a very accelerated path to citizenship. That is a cool way to prove commitment to citizenship, not only for the soldier, but for his whole family.
It would be interesting to see how many dual Canadians find their way to wearing a Canadian uniform. Perhaps openings in the Canadian Forces are too limited for that test, I don't know. But certainly citizenship should be more than just a passport, it needs to be heart and soul, love and commitment. I just don't know how that can hold true in today's environment of easy travel, but it holds true for me.
Jesus Christ, now their complaining that they got sea sick on the trip to Cyprus. Hope the Air Lines have good movies on the free flight back to Canada or they'll be complaining about that too.

Some of the passengers were forced to sleep on the floor and some vomited in the heat, Caroline Nohra of Montreal told the Canadian Press.
Life in wartime, eh? Poor babies.

What the hell are these people expecting, 5 star service on these boats??? Considering how fast the government had to pull something together to get them out, they better be more grateful than that!!! God, how embarrassing!

It appears that they were mistaken, here's instructions on filling out a form RN-1 to renounce British citizenship:

Anybody who sides with the terrorists. Pretty simple English really.
Apologist definition :
One who speaks or writes in defence of someone or something.
Why Robair? Bit of mens rea there old chap?
Its a comment on those who are supporting Hezbollah and demonising Israel. And there is a few who appear sympthathetic to Hezbollah's cause who have been posting on here.
What did you think I meant?
Clear enough for you?
