Did anyone get bear this year? In Manitoba specifically?
I was looking for some all summer and fall to photograph, with no luck. I need some locale tips.
He dosnt look big untill you look at the size of the coyote right behind him.
big ass grizzly
When every truck had a gunrack.
I wouldn't leave one up more than two days; and that only if the temp. was always around 4 degrees. I'm kinda paranoid about stuff like that. I butcher and Pop cranks the grinder. It's a tradition.
Is it legal to bait in Manitoba? If so, that might be an idea. Other option is to look up the name of a decent guide / outfitter and offer copies of any pictures you take. You'd probably be surprised how welcome a photographer is in a treestand.
Yeah, we can bait here, but I think half the fun for me is going to be tracking it down or coming across it by luck rather than that method.
Plus, the last thing I want to do is go somewhere, finally see one and photograph it, then watch it get shot. You know?
Deer, fine. We have a billion, and they wander down my street on a frequent basis. In fact, I've been thinking of taking up deer hunting.
But bear? I have too great a fondness for predators.
Shot a bobcat this weekend I will post the pic once I download it off of my camera.
It was very exciting was just as happy if I would have shot a desent buck. Thank god I brought double OO buck with me.
you going to eat the bobcat?? if you don't eat what you kill, then there's no need to hunt, unless you're using a camera or the animal is a danger. Bear is the only predator I've hunted and my neighbours liked the meat (i think it's too greasy, personally).
I eat what I kill. I like bear too; if you happen to shoot an extra one.
To have kill whatever he wanted to mount. I just offer 'em chocolate.
