Good for him, Canada should have more guns not less like the liberals want.

Yup,
This guy can be my neighbor any day... He sounded damn serious when he told the operator he wasn't going to let them get away if the cops didn't get there in time. Then you hear him load the shotgun...

I saw this on CNN a week or two. The guy is still going to go to jail no matter how noble his intentions.

You can't kill people for stealing property, Especially if it's your neighbour's property and you're not being threatened. Did he not hear the 911 operator repeatedly tell him to stay in house and wait for the cops? Even so, at he very least he could have waved his shottie in the air and told the thieves to kiss the dirt until the cops arrived instead of murdering them.

Neighbors need to stick together.
All our communities would be better if more people cared that much.

Good for him! CCW!!!

From what he said, the two burglers left the neighbors property and entered his, no doubt with bad intentions. The man was witnessing a crime then defending himself.

And what's with all the rah rah good for him! comments? Since when is stealing a capital offense?

Why should we feel sorry for those two assholes? If it were my house that was being cleaned out, and Joe Horn was my neighbour, I'd give him a big pat on the shoulder.

This will end up being the test for the recently changed law in Texas.

In Texas it is legal to use deadly force to protect your property. This'll determine if it extends to a neighbour.

Oh for shame.

Self-defence is a criminal offence....everyone knows this....Allan Runt so ruled----remember the guy who falsely accused Mulrooney about AIRBUS and cost us $2.1 million.

Remember the canadian justice Department response to US demand that ALL airliners going into Dulles required ARMED air marshalls-----that is too extreme for Canada.

This guy took the law into his own hands and threatened the livelyhoods of lawyers, court officials, prison guards, parole officials, welfare officials...........

Besides remember the "study" which proved that you are 4 times as likely to be murdered if there is a gun in the house.......a letter to the editor in the Kansas City Star from a teenager......
