and you cant eat a griz, did you know that?
No I didn't! I have heard that polar bear liver is deadly poison.
Think its tricinosis(sp) in the grizzlies.Never heard that about polar bears but maybe the same thing?
Hyack @ Sun Aug 26, 2007 5:22 pm
Trichinosis is the same parasite found in pork and is easily killed by thorough cooking
Polar bear liver's toxicity is due to its massive Vitamin A content

MMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmGOOD......pan fried liver and onions

The only problem with liver is the cooks who try to turn it into shoe leather!

No such thing as good liver..... at least in my opinion.
You have inspired me, I think I will buy some liver tonight. I haven't had it in a long while.

Mmmmm...........Lunch!!!

This reminds me of something that happened quite a few years ago. i went to Downing's Farm to pick a pumpkin for Halloween. They had great harvest food and fun activities for kids and best of all a petting zoo. i feel in love with the cutest little goat and i said to my mom "isn't he adorable?" to which my mother replied "oh yes, he would look great on the bbq"
buy my share too. i hate that stuff with a passion. 'oh...try my liver, you'll kike my liver, i cook it different than others' 'no, i hate liver!', '' but you'll like mine'. The texture and flavour grosses me out. The smell nauseates me

Mmmmm...... it is so. The big one I took last year was feeding on oats before the rancher harvested, Damn, that's the best venison I've ever had.
goat is good bbq'd too
We have tons of them here. Had about 20 of them hanging around the neighbourhood regularly all winter (along with two moose).
Caught these guys around the neighbourhood on the way back from getting flood pics this spring
And these two right in my back yard, about 15 feet from the house
The day after I took that one, my youngest went out the back door to go to a friend's house and scared a sleeping one off the back deck.
And people think we're crazy living "in the middle of no where".
Off the back deck
Damn I want a sleeping deer on my back deck, all I get is squirrels and raccoons

Yep. It's not uncommon at all. In the winter, they'll bed down in the back yard right along the house to keep warm. I've scared a few of them over the years. Go for a walk on any night around 8, and you're bound to meet up with at least half a dozen of them.
The only time I wasn't crazy about our furry friends hanging out here, was the day I looked out to see a bear and her two cubs - right about where those deer were standing. That's a little unnerving.
