How stupid was that architect? What a moron  And WHY didn't anybody see that sooner???

Blue_Nose @ Thu Sep 27, 2007 4:33 am

They're going on about how people didn't realize how it'd look from the sky, but there's no way someone could design that building without realizing it.

Must make a good story for some smart-ass back then...

Whoopie Shit so what...get over it already

I don't really see the big deal, whoopie it looks like the Nazi Symbol. Nazi's are dead, hitler is long gone, and germany is not allowed a army anymore, and further more couldn't afford one. GET OVER IT NEWS REPORTERS!!. They are really starting to run out of things to report on lol.

Blue_Nose @ Thu Sep 27, 2007 5:13 am

Is "whoopie" the word of the day somewhere, or what? They're spending $600K to fix it, so yeah, it's something worth mentioning. People are amused by it more than anything.

If I have to choose between hearing about this or who got brutally raped and murdered in the past 24 hours, I'll take the swastika.

ShepherdsDog @ Thu Sep 27, 2007 5:15 am

maybe the architects and engineers were practicing buddhists.

Lol, thank you for your generious contribution in my spelling errors and we are almost in a World War 3 at the momment with constant wars still raging on, with the possible outcome of a new war with Iran. There is a lot more important things to be focusing on, then some building that looks like a nazi symbol when the nazi's have been gone for many years and aren't coming back. My point was, who cares?

As far as a housing design, it works well - you've got all the rooms with windows, and it creates those four seperate courtyard areas... I bet they just decided to go with it and hope noone noticed.

The US Navy cares - $600K worth of care.

It's interesting, and it's not like it's taking the frontpage of any newspapers, so to use your own words, who cares?

Bacardi4206 @ Thu Sep 27, 2007 5:39 am

Blue_Nose, that last thing I want to do is start a arguement on this forums but seriously, why are you making such a big deal regarding to my statement? It is not a important topic, a building that looks like the nazi symbol... It is interesting I will give you that, but all I am stating is regarding to the news reporters not to the news report that it is just a building that looks like a nazi symbol. I don't see the point in spending money to get it rebuilt, or the point in reporting about it.

ShepherdsDog @ Thu Sep 27, 2007 5:44 am

$1:
or the point in reporting about it.

because people don't want to hear about Iraq and Iran 24/7.

Uhhmmm, Nazi's are not dead, Germany has an army (It is called "Bundeswehr", and has 250,000 military personnel), and Swastika's are still a big thing here, because not everybody who survived the Second WW, and their kids, are dead...

It is a shame that building was built that way in the 60's.

Bacardi4206 @ Thu Sep 27, 2007 5:58 am

Well apparently I am the only who feels this way, so sorry for my response.
