It is WAY more important, that the one using the last piece of toilet paper, makes sure the roll is replaced

If you could care less.... why not concede the issue to her?
Myself, I'm happy to put it down, and I usually do, just to be nice.
What I don't appreciate is that when I forget, I get criticized to no end. She'll point it out hours after the fact, even, just to make sure I know I slipped up.
I will not concede that there's some rational reason why it needs to be done - the fact is, women don't like it when we don't do what they say, regardless of the triviality. THAT'S the reason they complain, and I'm personally not going to concede to that.
Female Obliviocity
Why is it when a small group of women start chatting they complete loose sense of the world around them? Why are they so utterly unaware that they’re blocking a doorway, blocking a grocery store isle, blocking a bank machine, blocking an elevator, blocking traffic and that other people are piling up behind them? And why do they get so pissed off when they’re politely asked to get out of the way and possibly restrain their child from scaling the canned soup shelves like it’s the climbing wall at MEC?

The inevitable "I just want to be friends". And don't tell me I'm the only one who's heard that.
Guys use that line too.
But girls usually mean it when they say it
Really? I should go make a few calls.

Ok I'll agree ranting on for hours about it is over the top. Leads me to think the toilet seat isn't the issue at all. The toilet seat is representative for something bigger she has stewing in her brain.
As for woman don't like it when you don't do everything you say. Please save me from the pussy man that can't handle a woman. Stand your ground Bluenose

We're not "the avarage woman", Nova

I hate that too

No we sure are not

Reading this makes me more aware of that then ever.
I really don't give a damn if the seat is up or down.
The only place I want a man when I'm cleaning the house is out of my way!
Be my yes man the only place I want you is gone!

Oh and for the record:
Diamonds do nothing for me, I prefer amethyst
I prefer a bouquet of wild flowers you picked yourself to roses
I detest pretentious fancy ass restaurants
I say what I have to say them I'm done. Babbling on about it for days is a waste of my time and energy.
Don't ever tell me what you think I want to hear. I prefer the truth painful as it may be.
When I ask a question I want a direct and honest answer. I may not like it but i can handle it.
Don't treat me like a princess or a girly girl. I'm not one.
I make my own money I don't want yours.

Christ, my mother is like that. One time she blocked an intersection talking too a left-hand turner until the fucking cops came.
Also, after raising three boys, she's given up on the seat issue.

I don't know if it's that she doesn't like that you're not doing what she says. It might just be that she thinks you're doing it on purpose just to annoy her.
