Surprisingly, I've never heard the "my father is bigger than your father" argument... although the "your mother/sister is sluttier than mine" makes it's appearance once in a while. :D

Well I know my dad can beat up your dad. 8)

My Sister will give your Dad the Clap.

See my first reaction is "where do you think your sister got it? "

But then you say you have the clap yourself.

Tough call.

The whole idea of certain women whining about sexism is fucking hilarious considering the number of those same whiners who demand that society pays for their birth control, abortions, and even those who think they should get "that time of the month off" because they have "severe" menstrual cramps.

But oh my God, flirt with a female you think is cute and suddenly you're a sexist creep.
Jesus BF, were your parents the product of an arranged marriage or something?

LOL ya you're not sexist. We do women such a favour by letting 'our' healthcare cover 'their' lady parts. Everyone knowns public healthcasre is only for men's health right? Gimem a break.

Give ME a break. Birth control: $20-30/mo. Less than the cost of a cup of Timmy's coffee per day. If you're gainfully employed and can't afford birth control, maybe it's time to take a good hard look at your priorities.

Abortions: I didn't have the fun, why the fuck should I pay for it? Outside of rape, getting laid with no protection is a CHOICE and personal RESPONSIBILITY. You can't legally have sex with a woman unless she actually gives consent so the reality is, women are in complete control when it comes to consensual sex. Of course I've already made it known on this forum how I think abortion should be dealt with when it comes to nationalized health care.

Paid days off for that time of the month: Women wanted equality and to work the same jobs men work and they got it. Now some of them want special paid time off because it's that time of the month?
What next, society should have to pay for their tampons too?

And if being nice to women is sexist, next time your wife does or says something stupid, try calling her a fucking dumbass or something equally deprecating that you might say to one of your male buddies in the same circumstance. Then come back and tell us how cool and non-sexist your wife thought it was when you treated her like one o' the boys.

Ok first of all, Birth Control pills, like almost all outpatient prescriptions, are not covered under the public plan. So let's get that part straight.

Second, you comments seem to suggest that female reproductive health should strictly be a women's expense not covered by the public purse. Do you think getting pregnant is only the responsibility of the woman, and not men, who are free to blow their load in whomever they please without consequence? Undoubtedly I'm sure you think men's health issues are of vital importance to all citizens? Are you looking to de-list prostate exams and testicular cancer as well? No? Interesting.

Lastly on this point, curbing unwanted pregnancy is in the general interest of the public. It's penny-wise, pound retarded to curb simple birth control or abortion measures up front when unwanted children bring such a large burden to the social services and criminal justice system.

Basically, for any health care treatment you, PA9 receive, I could say "why should I pay for it?" Why should I pay for PA9's (diabetes/blood pressure/cancer/ whatever) treatment when I live an exceptionally clean and healthy lifestyle and am blessed with no genetic predispositions? Your argument against funding women-specific healthcare is at best an argument against healthcare altogether. We're all going to need care for one thing or another no need in playing "my health needs are more important than your health needs".

Paid days off for menstruation is not a real thing. I'm sure you found some crackpot on the internet advocating for it and maybe they got some coverage in the mainstream media but it is not a real thing and is not under serious consideration anywhere, except the minds of paranoid right-wingers

No shit. But the howling about how they should be covered is going on. And my comment also includes those who think employers should cover it as well.

Whomever they please? Once again, and I'll type slower for you, outside of rape it's women who ultimately get to make that choice. You'll notice very few, if any women, are arguing for the right for men to have condoms covered under public or private insurance.

BeaverFever BeaverFever:

The only thing "interesting" is your pathetic strawman. Equating cancer with reckless behavior, how classy of you. Hmmm, now did you see me post that breast exams or check-ups for uterine or ovarian cancer should be de-listed? No? And yet you felt the need to infer that's what I'm all about.

Simple solution. Buy one less take out coffee a day and voila, you have enough to cover your own fucking birth control and a better than reasonable chance of not requiring an abortion. Two birds with one stone, no cost to society. Some measure of personal responsibility restored.

And once again the strawman makes an appearance. There's no sense responding to this bit of nonsense since I already covered it above.

It's not under serious consideration, yet. But there's noise being made out there and it's not coming from "some crackpot on the internet". The good thing however, is the number of women I've heard who actually hate the idea so it looks like common sense will reign a little longer in that regard.

Condoms being covered?? Yes please!! Contraception is not covered for adult women who dont want a 19 kids and counting show, nor for minors who dont want to be on 16 and pregnant.
Just 'dont have sex' then?? Seriously??

Hell, patches to help you quit smoking are covered, ffs.

Well the analogy there would be patches to help you quit having sex. I would suggest a vaginal patch.

Here's a thought: How about you date guys who have enough wherewithal to buy their own frickin' condoms?

Seriously, if you tell a guy to get a condom first he'll find one. Somewhere. But he'll find one.
