The white poppy could be construed as anti-war, but I guess that's only relevant if you consider the red poppy pro-war.

Just curious as to what people thought. Is it the money, the symbol, or the act of actually remembering.

It's all the three. The money supports the Vets. The symbol shows them people respect them, and seeing the poppy makes people remember.

As a side note, Legion never actually sued, only threatened to. So no resources were wasted.

The lawyer would still have been paid for sending the threatening letter.

No they don't have to. You don't have to threaten to sue through a lawyer. It makes your claim hold more weight, but it isn't necessary.

For what purpose, to forward a anti-peace agenda? Like I said, go ahead. If your searching for some symbol that might garner a "rise" out of me, I don't think you'll succeed.

You're welcome to think the author is an idiot and disagree with him. But these tie ins to not being thankful and disrespectful have no legs.
