Here you are on Dutch taxes.
This is just income tax.
Then we have road tax, tax on the car you buy (that is a tax that is another then VAT (or GST or PST) and Holland is the only country in the world who has that...), tax on savings (that means you have to pay 1.5% each year on every saving you have), of course the 19% BTW (GST & PST)
And, lets not forget... Excise
What was this thread about again? Not that it matters anymore. Just curious.
Don't get me wrong, it is very interesting but should have become a different topic four pages ago.
Now you know why I posted that piece on Medal awards!
Did I miss someone for the Offtopic Medal
Sorry
Someone has to take the blame, right?
For the record: I deeply appreciate the sincere compliment from Mr. Canada in the form of the nomination but I will refuse the medal if it is granted as it would just cause too much trouble. Ironically, if I did accept it knowing that it would cause such trouble that would be the very antithesis of being an Uber Canuck as an Uber Canuck would not do such a thing the medal award would be invalid the moment I accepted it.
