It's still 30%. When has it ever been 65%? It hasn't. Get your facts straight, dumb ass.
Correct me if I misunderstood, but you only pay 30% taxes??

Wow! I guess the newspaper was right this morning... We pay the most taxes in Europe...
OPP @ Fri Aug 10, 2007 7:52 am
So, how much is it?
Brenda @ Fri Aug 10, 2007 7:58 am
It is in stages. The first 18,000 euro's is 33%, the next 35,000 or something is 42 %, and over that will be 52 % (the numbers might be off a bit though)
But, we don't pay income tax over everything. Our mortgage interest is deductable, healthcare that is not covered by insurance is deductable (healthcare costs at least € 75.00 per adult per month, but doesn't cover everything...) childsupport (when you are divorced...) is deductable...

Strange, that the Dutch nouveau riche are going to live in Belgium, just across the border, to avoid taxes, and to be taxed as Belgians... Same goes for Germany, btw.

Holy bat shit!! I thought we had userious rates in canada. right now I'm paying about 10% on NT$ 1 500 000 (less when deductions are factored in and i get most of it back at tax time). My wife, as a teacher in an international school, doesn't pay any tax on her income which is about the same. this one of the reasons why going back to canada keeps getting put off.

Well I guess it is mean so maybe for some going across there is worth it? Unless these figures are wrong which is also possible.
